Demonstration of charge acquired by a

Materials Required

i. Ballon
ii. Dry clothes
iii. Thread
 THEORY

On rubbing the object become

Positively Charged. Since transfer
of only one electron takes place and
electrons takes place and and have
the negative charged.The Object
has lost the electron and the cloth
has gain the electron .

PROCEDURE
1}. Filter the balloonwith air and tied the
mouth with a thread.Rubbed the ballon with
the cloth and left it into the wall.

2}. Balloon sticks to the wall which

demonstrate that it gets charged on the
rubbing .

3}. Again another air filled balloon was

taken and rubbed with cloth.

4}. In sticks to the wall but moves away

from the another balloon.
 OBSERVATION
IT WAS DEMONSTRATED THAT

THE BALLOON DEVELOP SAME

TYPE OF CHARGE AND THE

LIKE CHARGE REPEL EACH

OTHER
 Precaution
1. The cloth Should be dry.
2.The balloon should be rubbed
gently
3.Balloon should be tightly tied
