General
 Small tools (2%) shall not described as indirect cost, it shall be included as direct cost on
equipment cost section.

 The Unit Rate Breakdown Analysis, Equipment Cost section should not include Pickup
4WD vehicle, because this equipment doesn’t have direct input for the work items, it is
rather an overhead cost of the contractor.

Item 04 Cart away

1. In the equipment part Excavator need to be excluded.

Item 08 Prime coat

1. Equipment’s need to be included:
 Air Compressor
 Water truck
Item 09 Asphalt

1. In Quarry Stone Production (Asphalt) analysis sheet the performance rate has to be
increased from 35 to 40 m3/hr. Since it is achievable rate and other it should be
compatible with Asphalt Aggregate Production (Asphalt), performance rate which stated
40 m3/hr.

2. In Asphalt Aggregate Production analysis sheet under the Equipment section Excavator
shall be replaced by Wheel Loader.
 3. In Asphalt Aggregate Hauling analysis sheet under the Equipment section the number of
Wheel Loader shall be reduced to 1 (one) because Crusher and AC Mixing Plant on
same place the expected output can be archived with 1 Wheel Loader (According to
Ethiopian Transport Construction Authority Manual, the daily output estimate for 2km
hauling distance 425 m3 ).

4. In Dense Graded Asphalt Concrete (AC) Mixing analysis sheets, equipment section
Fuel truck need to be excluded because the equipment is a stationary plant there
is no need of movable fuel trucker and the unit price of equipment’s is inclusive of
lubricants and fuel costs.

5. In Dense Graded Asphalt Concrete (AC) Hauling analysis sheets, the equipment section
the number of Dump Truck shall be reduced to from 4 to 2 (two) and the
performance rate shall be reduced to 18 m3/hr , because haulage amount shall consider
the Asphalt Paver performance rate.

6. In Dense Graded Asphalt Concrete (AC) Placing analysis sheet, Equipment section
Water truck need to be included.

Item 10 Checkered Tile for walkway, 5cm thick

 Material wastage of Checkered Tile shall be reduced to 5%.

 Bedding material shall be replaced by Sand.
