Select Crane
Communication

Prerequisites

This guide assumes that the steps in

HowTo_GettingStarted
HowTo_UpdateSCUFW

has been followed.

1) Open CoDeSys V2.3

a) Follow the instructions in

HowTo_OpenCoDeSysProject
2) Locate Crane Communication Selection

a) Open the tab “POUs”

b) In the folder “Spreader Program” there is an object
called “GENERAL_CONFIGURATION” where the
“Select_Crane_Communication” function block is
located
3) Select Crane Communication

a) Enable the desired crane communication by setting that

input to TRUE
NOTE! Only one option may be set to TRUE.
4) Configure Crane Communication

Depending on which crane communication is chosen,

follow the configuration guide as listed below:

DS444_ClassX -> HowTo_ConfigureDS444

ZCAN -> HowTo_ConfigureZCAN
BCAN -> HowTo_ConfigureBCAN
