Analysis
1. What is your realization about collaboration in Special and Inclusive Education? Is it
necessary to work with parents? With administrators? With co-professionals? Please
explain your answer.

I now understand how important collaboration is in special education when it

comes to meeting the educational needs of the pupils. It enables educators and those
involved in the school and community to establish common objectives, share decision-
making authority, share resources and accountability, and recognize individual
viewpoints and domain expertise. More efficient instruction and student placement will
result from this. The success of the school depends greatly on collaboration and
communication with those involved in the education of students with special needs,
thus it is crucial to cooperate with parents, administrators, and other professionals.

2. How will you promote good communication with those people involved in
theeducation of your student with special needs?

I must first act as a conduit for effective communication if I am to encourage it

with the parties involved in the special education school. It is critical for educators to
demonstrate how effective communication helps students with special needs. They will
then value effective communication both inside and outside of the school.

3. Why listening is important to work with someone?

Working with someone requires listening since it allows for the sharing of
feedback. We must remember that feedback is crucial in special education, as it plays a
crucial role in identifying both the appropriate placement of the pupils and the appropriate
teaching strategy that must be applied. In other words, the key to achieving the teaching
and learning objectives is listening.
Assessment
Test I. Answer the following questions concisely:
1. How does collaboration shape the role of the general education teacher in the education
of children with special needs?

Every teacher should research teaching methods, subjects, disabilities,

individualization, accommodations, and skills for creating a perfect learning environment. In
light of this, it is believed that working in conjunction with co-professionals and others
involved in the education of kids with special needs forms an essential part of the
responsibilities of a general education teacher. A general education teacher can develop
supplementary professional skills through collaboration that will help with lesson design,
preparation, and delivery in the classroom.

2. In your own opinion, what are the characteristics that should be possessed by a general
education teacher to effectively carry-out collaboration with the inclusion team?

To collaborate with the inclusion team successfully, I believe a general education

teacher needs to have strong character, openness, composure, and, most importantly, a
decent heart.

3. What are the five models of cooperative teaching in special education? Which of the
models would you prefer? Please explain your answer.

Complementary instruction, station teaching, parallel teaching, alternative teaching,

and team teaching are the five forms of cooperative teaching used in special education.
Among the five models, I like the comprehensive instruction (one teaches or assists). I think
cooperative teaching through complementary instruction works best in addressing the
students' learning needs because educating kids with special needs is a challenging
undertaking for educators. Additionally, this model enables instructors to be both
reconstructive and helpful, and both can provide feedback to make the process simpler and
more efficient.

Dear Mrs. Amba,

Hello! This is Lodie Aron, and I am Aruel's special education teacher. I am writing today to
remind you that, as agreed, this week is our scheduled meeting for Aruel's IEP. Part of our
discussion will be Aruel's progress in reading and comprehension, counting numbers, and
recognizing colors. Further, we will also discuss the process we need to take to improve him
remembering skills and self-management, which includes self-motivation and behavior inside
the classroom. As always, I believe that your input is the most valuable to your child’s
success and that you can provide informative insightinto her life and individual needs.

2. Write an “Essay” on this “ My way of Collaborating with others”.(250 words.)

“My Way of Collaborating With Others”

Every human being, in my opinion, is by nature a social creature; we are meant to

interact with one another and form deep bonds with others. In light of this conviction, I
wholeheartedly concur with the statement that "Tough Times Don't Last, Tough Teams Do,"
and that cooperation is necessary to realize common objectives and interests despite trying
circumstances. Being open-minded is where I start when working with people. I frequently
persuaded others to be open-minded ever since I realized how important it was. Having this
character means more than just asking ourselves whether we should take other people's
ideas into consideration. Our emotions will eventually follow our efforts to open our heads.
Our hearts' openness gives us a broader perspective on how we engage with others,
particularly when it comes to working together. Every action must be scrutinized, from every
angle. I work with others by fusing my color with their various hues, saying, "It is not just
about how productive we are, but how we attain productivity when we are in a certain group"
(since it has been said that we have different true colors). Because I think that attaining
meaningful collaboration also requires having a flexible approach to working with others.
Finally, I work with others with the conviction that differences never stand in the way of unity
but rather serve to highlight what makes each person different.

In a few words, I collaborate with others by having a good mindset..
