No. (053)5709018, LGU EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 16 , s. 2022 AN ORDER DIRECTING THE SUSPENSION OF WORK IN ALL GOVERNMENT AND PRIVATE OFFICES AND CLASSES AT ALL LEVELS, PUBLIC AND PRIVATE, WITHIN THE TERRITORIAL JURISDICTION OF THE PROVINCE OF SOUTHERN LEYTE DUE TO TROPICAL ‘STORM “AGATON” WHEREAS, The Republic of the Philippines thru Republic Act 10121 and the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) provided for all the necessary guidelines needed to plan, prepare, implement and respond to disaster events; WHEREAS, it is the duty of the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Southern Leyte to look after the welfare and security of its constituents: in times of disasters and calamities; WHEREAS, as per latest advisory from the Philippine Atmospheric, ‘Geophysical, Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) issued on April 10, 2022 at 2:00 PM that “Agaton” is still within the area of Leyte and puts Southern Leyte under Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal (TCWS) Number 4 with rainfall warning RED ALERT. This brings number of vulnerable communities are now evacuated in safe evacuation centers. WHEREAS, as per advisory from local PAGASA there is high probability that Southern Leyte will still experience heavy rainfall that ‘eventually will result to floods, and landslides in vulnerable areas. NOW, WHEREFORE, by virtue of the powers vested in me as Provincial Governor of Souther Leyte, |, DAMIAN G. MERCADO, hereby order the suspension of work and classes at all levels in all government and private institutions within the territorial jurisdiction of the Province of Southern Leyte. Section 4. The suspension of work in all govemmentiprivate offices and classes at all levels, public and private, within the territorial jurisdiction of the Province of Southern Leyte is hereby ordered effective April 11, 2022. ‘Section 2, Government personnel providing security, custodial, rescue, medical and such other similar services shall report to work and shall continue‘SO ORDERED, DON!
