BRIGADA ESKWELA KICK OFF

ELA
Brigada Eskwela is a yearly
activity of the Department of
Education in preparation for the
yearly opening of classes
throughout the Philippines. The
objective is to strengthen the
“bayanihan” of the DepEd
Personnel, Parents, Students,
Government Agencies and
Local Government Units, and
other external stakeholders such as private
organizations to prepare the school facilities
for the opening of classes and to emphasize
the country's collective efforts in promoting
collaboration for safe living and addressing
social issues and concerns in schools, at
homes and in the community. Teachers, LGU Officials, and Parents
dance the Brigada Eskwela Jingle.

commencement of Brigada Eskwela
2021 through a School Kick Off
Ceremony held on August 12,
Thursday, with the theme
Brigada Eskwela Starts with a Motorcade “Bayanihan para sa Paaralan,”. It
participated by Teachers and LGU Officials was spearheaded by Mrs. Cecilia V.
Mendoza, School Principal and the
Brigada Eskwela School Coordinator, Mrs. Analiza B. Aquino, and was participated
by the school personnel, Barangay Captains from Bislig, Cabcab, Catagbacan, and
Bagong Sirang, and parents.
The school principal emphasized that this activity is
important to everyone as this brought spirit of unity
and cooperation and this serve as a test of
commitment for everyone amidst the pandemic.
She also reiterated that quality learning will
continue despite the threats posed by the COVID-
19 pandemic and expressed her appreciation to all
the teaching and non-teaching personnel for their

hard work during these trying times.

THE PLEDGE OF COMMITMENT

To express and to record the willingness of the


participants to Brigada Eskwela, they affixed
their signatures to the Pledge of Commitment
Board.
This activity

today. This encourages and motivates everyone
to work together to provide a better future for all

BRIGADA PAGBASA

Cabcab National High School responded to the


advocacy of the Department of Education to
conduct an after-school reading program that
brings together education partners and experts to
help learners read and become functionally
literate.

TREE PLANTING SA BRIGADA

Cabcab

School believes
that tree
planting activity
will help secure
the future of the
students for

and soil erosions. Teachers
brought their own tree seedlings
and planted them in a designated area inside the
school premises. Also, flowering plants were planted
to add a good ambience to the school. No face – to –
face classes is not a reason not to improve the
physical appearance of the school.

Members of Philippine National Police


(PNP) from San Andres, Catanduanes
shared their hands in extending their
service to Brigada Eskwela as always.
This
proved
that
Brigada
Eskwela awakens the spirit of bayanihan in every
Filipino and that this program is fully supported
by all local government units across the country.
They have donated hollow blocks for the
construction of flower plots and labor were also provided to finish them.
This initiative of the PNP of San Andres was very much appreciated by the
school. The donations, be it materials and hours served, were of great help in
continuing the education despite of the challenges which the Department were
facing.

ONE CATANDUANES RIDERS RIDES TO BRIGADA ESKWELA


Brigada Eskwela is an
opportunity for
everyone to give help
and assistance to the
needy ones. It gives
them chance to be a
good citizen.
One Catanduanes
Riders extend their

helping hands to Cabcab National High School as they provided 20 – man worth of
labors for a whole day. They did not even bother the school with the “Merienda” and
lunch for they have also brought it with them. They have offered to paint the newly –
built computer tables and construct another flower pot beside the new SHS building.

PARENTS IN ACTION

Parents’ role in todays’ system


of education is very crucial for
they are the ones who are with their children while answering modules and activity
sheets.
They have a big part in the success of the learning process of their students.
Cabcab National High School was very much thankful to the parents who still haven’t
failed to show their support to the
school by participating to Brigada
Eskwela 2021.
They cleared bushes in front of the
school and cleared the designated
area inside the school.
