Re: Letter of Invitation for my Open Work Permit and

Dear Officer,

This is a Filipino National, holder of passport , and I am writing

this letter to support my pplication for an Open Work Permit

I am currently studying Business Administration at Okanagan College – Penticton since September 3,

2019 and I hereby request to acquire an Open Work Permit for my spouse and

My wife and I met when we were on our 5th grade way back in 1999. After graduating elementary, I
moved to a different school and did not have any contact with her ever since. Back in 2013, we started
exchanging messages on Facebook just to say hi and check on how the other one was doing. Little did
we know that it was the start of our relationship. Before we were together, my life was in ruins. I had no
plans and was jumping from one job to another. She gave me purpose and was the only one who
believed in me that time and encouraged me to pursue my passion for the hospitality industry. A few
months after we started dating, we found out that she was pregnant and that changed my life in a big
way. With our daughter, we started to build our dreams and goals for ourselves and our family. Ever
since, we were never apart from each other for more than two days. This is the longest time that we
have been separated from each other. I miss my wife and daughter everyday and although they are my
inspiration why I decided to further my studies here in Canada, I need them by my side to cheer me on
especially when times are rough. We call each other everyday through video calls but it is not enough. I
need my family with me. I have missed so many of my daughter’s school activities since I have been here
and I cherish even the smallest milestones that she achieves and experience. It breaks my heart not to
be there for her. That is why I decided for my wife and daughter to come here and stay with me until the
duration of my study permit so that we can be together and make sure we do not miss any more
milestones especially in our daughter’s life.
