Script for short film: 3:01

Scene 1
( school scene )

*continuous mumbling.
Nea: Gumagamit ng detalyadong imahen, number 3 is…ang tawag sa bilang ng mga
pantig sa bawat taludtud. Hngg, ( groan ) but I think this one doesn’t fit here so what
does? … ( mumbling )

*ballpen writing sound* *paper flipping sounds* *mumbling intensifies*

Nea: *tapping pen, ( stops ) *looks back, and sees her friends talking and having fun.

*looks back at her exam sheet.

*mumbling and writing intensifies*

( intensity broken )

Nea’s friends: Nea! ( jumps on her )

Nea: *Startled, screamed. OHH! You guys scared me.

*friends laughing

Sena: Sorry, *laughs masyado ka kasing focused jan sa exam! Ano are you done?

Nea: Yeah, kakatapos ko lang. Bakit, may kailangan ba kayo sakin?

Sena: mmm…

*elbows her friend Aiden

Aiden: Ahh! Nea, diba may housing unit kayo?

Nea: Oo, pero it’s under renovation. Why?

Aiden: Well, you see…

*Sena interrupts

Sena: Well since Tapos na ang exam naisip namin na we’ll hang out after, as a form of
you know, celebration!

*her friend says yes and nods.

Noah: At naisip namin na we could hang out today and since it’s almost nighttime, we
thought na nagbabagay siya in a scary mood.

Sena: And talking about the scary mood we thought it would be such a fun idea na mag
kwekwentuhan tayo in your under-renovation housing unit, forda thrill.

Austin: Yeah! I’m so excited! Rami ko panamang scary stories na alam. Spoiler alert,
yung iba nangyari sakin.

Olivia: So what do you say Nea?

*Nea stood there thinking.

Nea: *hesitates* I don’t know guys, I’d have to ask Mommy muna, And you guys know
how I easily get scared. Di talaga ako fan ng mga scary stuff.

Sena: Oh come on Nea! Please for us? And if the problem is asking for permission then
ako na ang bahala, lakas ako sa mommy mo eh.

Nea: Well, I don’t know takot talaga ako sa stuff like that and the housing unit is super
creepy which is why di masyado ako bumibisita dun.

Rayne: It’s okay Nea, I swear to you walang masamang mangyayari saatin. It would
only be a hangout between friends. Nothing bad will happen to us, ghosts aren’t real.

John: Oo nga Nea, if something dangerous happens I’ll protect you guys.

*Everyone says OHHH~*

Nea: Sige na nga, sure let’s do it.

Everyone: Yehey!! You’re so kind Nea!

Sena: Anyways since sigurado na ang place, what’s the other preparations?

Noah: Mag ready tayo ng games! How about spin the bottle?

Olivia: Ohh! yeah then bili tayo snacks!

Aiden: Ako na bahala sa Gin.

Rayne: Hoi Aiden tumino ka naman.

Aiden: What? We’re all legal anyways!

Sena: Kaya nga!! SHOT PUNO!

Rayne: Sorry but no, we’re dead if mahuli tayo ng Dad ni Nea.

John: So ano na? Kailan ba natin to gagawin?

Sena: Ngayon na!!

Nea: Ha? Ngayon agad!?

Sena: Yeah! Para di drawing, if we move this halatang di matutuloy. Let’s do it, the
exam is done and we have the time.

Noah: At mag gagabi na!

Sena: Exactly! Come on guys, let’s move fast sayang yung oras.

Rayne: Paalam muna kayo sa magulang niyo guys na mag slesleep over tayo kaila
Nea.

Nea: Hoi! Di naman sa amin baka mapagalitan pa ako.

Rayne: Sainyo naman yung housing unit so we’re not lying and don’t worry di kita
ilalaglag kay Papa.

Nea: Okay…
Austin: Let’s go, everyone!

Scene 2
( preparations )

*scenes of everyone asking for permission.*

( Calling each other )

Rayne: Oh ano na pinayagan ba kayo?

Austin: OO! luckily…

John: Are you guys ready?

Everyone: Yeah!

Sena: Tara na! *end call*

*Everyone arrives at the meeting place.

Sena: So Everyone! Game?

Everyone: LET’S GO!!

Scene 3
( arriving at the place )

Olivia: Ohh! Cutie ng place. Hurry up and open the door Nea!

( Nea goes to open the door )

*eerie creak*

*The atmosphere is creepy and eerie*

Aiden: *tries to turn the lights on* Aww sira pala yung lights.

Nea: Yea even if you turn on the breaker, pinasira muna ng construction workers yung
ilaw dito if ever they’re not working kasi the lights aren’t fixed right baka mag cause ng
circuit break.
| Scenes of everyone looking around the place. Getting goosebumps and feeling
anxious.

( Rayne breaks the Silence )

Rayne: Tara na guys! Set up na tayo.

( everyone starts unpacking )

| Bringing out the things they slowly gather and create a comfortable spot for everyone
in which they felt relieved.

Scene 4
( game time )

Rayne: Let’s play spin the bottle, the bottle decides your fate, if the bottle stops spinning
and lands on two persons, the top and the lower part of the bottle, kisses.

| In this scene, you could see the group of friends having fun, talking, and playing truth
or dare. And so on and so forth.

Scene 5
( the true horror starts )

| As they were playing they hadn’t noticed the time went by. Sena then proceeds to look
at her phone.

Sena: Oh, 3 na pala. *yawns* tulog na tayo gabi na pala.

Rayne: Oo nga, inaantok na din ako. Let’s slowly clean guys and mag handa na para
matulog.

| As they were cleaning, the girls went to the bathroom.

*brushing teeth*

| Sena was bothered by the foggy mirror so she swiped it. It didn’t clear immediately so
she kept swiping furiously and then when it finally cleared she saw the reflection of her
friend Nea behind her. She was frightened and let out a scream.
Sena: Potcha! Nagulat moko!

( Nea looked at her confused while brushing her teeth )

( After a while, Sena was done brushing her teeth so she rinsed her mouth. )

| Sena looks down at the sink it was covered in blood. Scared and confused she looked
at the mirror and saw her mouth bleeding. She then looked at her hands and saw she
was holding a razor, she threw it away and let out a scream. In a panic, she begins to
frantically hold her mouth and rinse it. Seeing the amount of blood she lost she fainted.

Sena: *screams*

*Sena rouses up*

| Sena sees her friends holding her down and she looks at them scared and confused.

Everyone: Sena! Okay ka lang!

( Sena feels an ache in her mouth and then recalls what happened she frantically holds
her mouth but seeing her hands with no blood makes her confused.

John: HOI!! Sena kalma! Ayos ka lang ba??

Sena: Hinde! We were brushing our teeth but then pag luwa ko duguan na pala yung
bunganga ko!

Aiden: what do you mean!?

Sena: I was with the Girls, at nag pasama ako na mag sipilyo na kami. Then as I was
brushing my teeth or God knows what, I was holding a razor and my mouth was
covered in blood!

( Her friends look at her confused )

Rayne: Sena, we never went to brush out teeth…

Sena: BUSHAK!! Please drop the act.

Olivia: Totoo nga! Bat naman kami mag sisinuwaling! You should stop acting! Natakot
na ako!

Sena: ANO BA! MUKHA BA AKONG NAG BIBIRO DITO!?

John: GIRLS! Kalma! Sena please tell the truth. Di yan yung nangyari.

Rayne: that’s right. Kanina while we were cleaning bigla ka nalang dumabog, tapos
lumapit ka sa bag mo. You took out a blade and you tried cutting your own face.

Austin: Oo nga, we all tried stopping you pero you were so strong nahirapan kami.

Noah: And here you are, bumalik ka na sa normal self mo.

Sena: *stares blankly*

( faint noises )

| A ghost near Sena calls her name shouting.

Sena: * screams *

Nea: Sena! *teary-eyed* okay ka lang ba talaga?!

Sena: Nea! You were with me right?! Nandun ka natakot pa nga ako sayo dahil nakita
ko reflection mo!

Nea: *shakingly says: Sena, that’s impossible. The bathroom is a wreck, sira Yung
walls, sira Yung sink everything! You can’t even go in kasi naka lock yung pinto.

* they all went silent *

( the silence is then broken by the door knob of the bathroom shaking wildly. )

| Everyone goes wild and starts panicking

Nea: *crying* Guys! Gusto ko ng umuwi please.

Rayne: Everyone pack your things and let’s go

| while in a frenzy everyone tried to pick up their scattered things across the room.
Some of the candles that were lit turned off. In the dark everyone screamed.

Olivia: GUYS! Gago, look at your phones.

( Everyone looks at their phones )

Aiden: Tangina… it’s still 3:01 am…

( Nea then runs to the door )

Nea: ARGHH! Guys! Yung pinto naka sira!

John: That’s the most cliche thing I’ve seen.

( Nea panics and breaks down )

Aiden: Guys, I’m sorry but while I was wasted I figured na kunin yung susi at itapos
while locking us inside. You know for the thrill.

Everyone: *screams in disbelief*

Rayne: *pushes Aiden* Yang mga kabobohan mo? Ilugar mo. Guys, hanapin niyo yung
susi para mabilis!

John: San mo banda tinapon yung susi Aiden?

Aiden: Nalimot ko I remember going upstairs and also looking down at the first floor. I
have no clue I was so wasted.

Austin: *pushes Aiden* Ano ba bro, gano kaba ka tanga?

Noah: *inawat sila* Guys let’s calm down

Austin: *snaps at Noah* BRO! Calm down!? There are some scary things happening
dude and I don’t want to die!

Noah: YOU’RE NOT THE ONLY ONE WHO’S SCARED SO WATCH YOUR WORDS!

( the three breaks up into a fight )

John and Rayne: *stops the three* If di kayo mag titino pano tayo makaka alis dito

Sena: We won’t fix anything if di kayo gagalaw jan!

( everyone goes back to searching.)

| Sena went upstairs and as she was going up the stairs creaked she got scared and
looked at the stair, in between the gaps she saw a pair of eyes and a mouth smiling at
her.

Sena: *screams*

Olivia: Are you okay!? Anong nangyari

Sena: You scared me!

Olivia: Sorry! Aba bilis mo naman matakot.

Sena: shut up Olivia, nakaktakot kasi mukha mo. Anyways tulungan moko mag hanap
dito sa taas.

Olivia: Oo! Susunod ako.

( Sena proceeds upstairs )

| while searching she heard the stairs creak again

Sena: *Screams* dahan dahan lang sa pag lakad ano ba! ( resumes on searching )

Sena: Oh, Olivia tulungan mo na ako dito dali! Para mapabilis tayo

* no response *

Sena: Are you scared? Akala ko ba di ka madali matakot. ( pulls olivia )

Sena: Oh, your hands are cold…okay ka lang ba? ( turns around )

| In shock, Sena sees herself from looking behind and runs away from her
doppelganger
| Screams are heard from upstairs and everyone rushes to see what was happening.

Everyone: *screams*

| Everyone is terrified as they see Sena banging her head continuously on the wall,
making herself bleed. Next to her is a frightened Olivia trying to stop her.

| As Everyone tries to stop Sena in haste they heard someone call out that they found
the key.

| John manages to stop Sena and Aiden helps him carry her outside as they all ran
away from the malicious scene.

As they were walking the unconscious Sena woke up and barely walks, Rayne and
John assist her.

Everyone: *discusses how scary and insane the things that happened in the housing
unit*

In silence, one person was laughing and grinning.

Everyone looked over at the person, it was Nea.

Nea: *Laugh maniacally* *cries* *goes crazy*

Olivia: *Pushes her* Hoi! Nababaliw ka na ba!?

Nea: *looks at her creepily and intently*

| Olivia scared, backs up and looks at her weirdly

Aiden: Nasisiraan na ata siya.

Nea: *scoffs* Ha, di ba halata? Ako may kagagawan nito lahat.

Noah: What do you mean Nea?

Nea: From the start, Ako yung nag bigay ng idea sainyo na mag story telling.
| Flashback to Sena taking Nea’s phone as she sees a post about storytelling.

Nea: That was a trap, and Sena easily took the bait. After, nagparinig ako na may
housing unit kami.

Nea: Alam ko na you guys would take advantage of me, kasi dun kayo magaling diba?
Ngayon niyo lang naman ako sinama sa gala niyo dahil saamin yung housing unit.
Akala niyo di ko nahalata!? Na nagpapatago kayong gumagala! Isa pa, nilalapitan niyo
lang ako kapag di niyo alam yung answers sa questionaires, At ikaw Sena, inggit ka
sakin diba? Dahil di mo kayang lagpasan yung grades ko! Sa una palang, kinaibigan
niyo lang ako dahil benefitial to sainyo! Tinuring niyo ba talaga akong kaibigan? HA!?

Rayne: Nea! Nagkakamali ka!

Nea: Tama na Rayne, di ka ba napapagod sa kaka panggap? Serves you guys right.
*Laughs and cries* Dapat lang sainyong makulam! Sa sobrang pabida niyo malamang g
na g kayo sa housing unit namin, little did you guys know, na naglagay ako dun ng
pangkulam. You guys pushed me, to be what I am today.

Boys: *Gets angry*

Nea: ha, ngayon pakita niyo ang totoong pagka tao niyo. Dapat lang sainyong malasin
ng habang buhay!

| Sena pushes Nea, and Nea loses her balance and rolls down from uphill.

Sena: *shocked*

Everyone: Sena!

Sena: huh… *pants in panic*

Noah: She deserved it anyway! Pagkatapos ng ginawa niya saatin!?

Everyone: *agrees*

Sena: I mean, sinaktan niya ako! That was purely self defense…

Everyone: She’s probably fine. *runs towards Nea*

| Everyone sees her lifeless body. They all run away with guilt and fear.

| Everyone goes home.

| As Sena washes up and gets ready for bed, she then calms down and lays down in
bed. She charges her phone next to her bed and sees the time, that it was still 3:01
