I. OBJECTIVES: At the end of the 60-minute period, at least 85 percent of the students will be

including characterization, setting, plot, and theme;

Analyze how character, setting, plot, and theme affect one another;

Construct sentences using the different literary techniques and elements based
on one’s experience

Review the previous lesson by asking the following questions:
1. What is typically the purpose of non-fiction?
2. What does genre mean?
3. What are the two general classifications of literature?
4. What literary genre has more characters, different settings, and
complicated plot?

A. Let them close their eyes and recall those instances in their life
where they had their most unforgettable vacation with their family/ friends or
loved ones. Have them try to look back to that moment and the place where
they were riding a jeepney, a private car, an airplane or a boat. Think about the
beautiful scenery where they were passing by.
