Thirteen Ghosts

One stormy night in a gloomy junkyard, Dr.Cyrus, an eccentric ghost hunter, is preparing to hunt an
evil spirit with a group of his gang. One of whom, Cyrus's psychic assistant Dennis, is able to sense
ghosts through various mediums. He can also read others' minds, and feel their emotions by
touching them. Dennis usually helps Dr.Cyrus locate the ghosts to capture them. This time, he can
feel the tremendous evil power of the coming ghost in advance. He's somehow curious about why
Dr.Cyrus must have such a horrible ghost. He puts his hand on Cyrus's shoulder, and accidentally
knows about the huge amount of money hiding somewhere in Cyrus's house. Just as they're going to
start, Cyrus's men discover a hunter couple with a magic book hiding nearby. The couple aims to
liberate ghosts. The husband warns Cyrus not to do so; and he won't succeed without the 13th ghost
and the magic spell. Dennis is confused to hear this, as Dr.Cyrus has been hiding his true purpose of
hunting ghosts. To keep his secret, Dr.Cyrus orders to attack the couple. At the moment, the evil
spirit arrives, smelling the bait. After a fierce fight, the evil ghost is finally caught. However, Dr.Cyrus
and his several men are killed in the fight. Dennis and the female hunter of the couple, Kalina,
survive. Years later, Dr.Cyrus's nephew, Arthur, lives with his family in a crowded house. He's a math
teacher, and once owned a happy family. However, an unexpected fire changed his life. He lost his
beloved wife, and almost all of his properties in the fire. He has to live in this small house with his
two children and their babysitter. One day, Arthur gets a visit from Dr.Cyrus's lawyer, informing him
that he has inherited a mansion from his uncle Cyrus. Lack of money, Arthur's family is eager to
accept the legacy, and decide to move there. Looking at their happy faces, the lawyer privately
shows a strange smile. The lawyer leads them to the mansion located in a tranquil place. They
happen to meet a maintenance worker at the entrance, who is pretended by Dennis. He's here for
Cyrus's money. The lawyer recognizes him, but keeps silent. It seems they are both hiding something
from the Arthur family. Arthur opens the gate with a unique key. The mechanism of the house
moves as the door opens. This house is full of mechanized devices, and decorated with glass walls
inscribed with strange Latin characters. There's also a huge turntable machine, with 12 cells and
Latin phrases in the main hall. Arthur's family tour around the house with curiosity. They feel lucky
to move in, instead of noticing the peculiarity of the house. While the lawyer and Arthur are talking
about handover procedures in the hall, Dennis, disguised as a worker, comes down alone to the
basement. He's searching for the huge amount of money that Dr.Cyrus left. There're many
transparent cabins down the basement, each separated by glass walls with Latin words. He has felt
the strangeness of the house as soon as he enters. While passing these cabins, Dennis's superpower
makes him see horrible pictures, and feel deep pains. He soon finds a pair of spectral glasses, which
enables people to see ghosts. Putting on the glasses, he's shocked to discover 12 ghosts, once caught
by him and Dr Cyrus prisoned in each of the cabins. The Latin words on the glass walls, serve as a
spell to keep them captive. Astonished, Dennis hurries up, and meets Arthur and the lawyer in a
room. He tells Arthur his true identity, and suggests he leave the house right away. However, the
lawyer is an accomplice of Dr.Cyrus. He keeps obstructing Dennis from telling the truth. Arthur
doesn't believe in ghosts, and takes the warning as ridiculous jokes. Though working for Cyrus, the
lawyer also has his own plan. He quietly runs into the basement and takes the money case, while
Dennis is trying to convince Arthur. As he's about to leave the house, the lawyer carelessly triggers a
mechanism of the house, which will lock the house, and release the ghosts one after another. On his
way leaving, the lawyer comes across one of the ghosts released just now. In fear, he's then cut in
half by accident, and dies. Arthur's son runs around the mansion with the babysitter, playing with his
skateboard. He finds a pair of spectral glasses somewhere in the house. He puts on the glasses, and
goes straight to the dangerous basement, as someone is directing him there. Suddenly, the boy
seems to hear the sound of his dead mother, stopping him from going forward. It turns that his
mother's spirit has been kept here.

Despite his mother's dissuasion, the boy still enters the basement driven by curiosity. Arthur finally
starts to notice the oddity of the house. He decides to leave with his family, but can't find his son
anywhere. In the meantime, the house has been locked, thanks to the lawyer. Arthur finds his
daughter and the babysitter, and asks them to wait in the car. He promises to find his son, and get
back to them. However, Dennis, sitting in a chair, tells them that they won't be able to get out of
here, as the house has been sealed. Down in the basement, Arthur's son is able to see the ghosts
through his glasses, which scares him to death. His dead mother comes to help him escape, while
Dr.Cyrus, who should have been dead, shows up unexpectedly. The boy has been knocked
unconscious and taken away. Upstairs, Dennis and the family are looking for Arthur's son. Dennis
tells them that the Latin words on the glass walls, help as a spell to keep the ghosts away. Arthur's
daughter laughs at him, in that she doesn't believe ghosts do exist. To find his son, Arthur begs
Dennis to take them to the basement. Dennis agrees reluctantly. When they get down to the
basement, Dennis is surprised to find all the cabins have been opened; and ghosts are gone. Dennis
becomes frightened immediately. He shouts to leave the basement soon; but Arthur still thinks he's
mad, and keeps looking for his son. Arthur's daughter, who's helping to find her little brother, grabs
another pair of glasses in the basement. At the first moment when she puts on the glasses, a ghost
with a horrible appearance shows up in front of her, and tries to drag her away. Arthur rushes ahead
to save his daughter, though he can't see any shape of the ghost. At this critical moment, Kalina, the
female hunter of the couple who liberated ghosts in the past, arrives and rescues Arthur's daughter.
She explains to Arthur and his family that she sneaks in to free the 12 ghosts imprisoned by Dr.Cyrus.
Arthur puts on a pair of spectral glasses for the first time; and he eventually believes in the existence
of ghosts. Kalina then takes out the magic book, and tells them that Cyrus designed this house to
serve as a machine, that will empower someone to see the past and the future. That's the reason
why Dr.Cyrus hunts ghosts, and keeps them there. But Arthur stops her from talking further,
because he isn't interested in such ghost stories. He just wants to take his family away from this
strange place. Soon after, the mechanism changes again to block the house, and release more
ghosts. Arthur's daughter has been taken away in the chaos. They have to run around to avoid being
attacked by the ghosts. In a rush, they decide to gather in the library, where there are more Latin
spells on the wall to keep them safe. After several rounds of fight with the ghosts, they finally get to
the library. However, Arthur soon learns from Kalina that his dead wife is also trapped here; and
Dennis was an accomplice. Hearing this, Arthur angrily punches Dennis on his face. Kalina calms him
down, and says that he still has a chance to save his children and free his wife. There are already 12
ghosts captured in the house. Since the house is built as a machine to connect the future and must
be powered by 13 ghosts, the best way to shut it down is to create the 13th ghost from a person,
who is willing to die for love. Kalina indicates that Arthur will be the best candidate for the 13th
ghost, if he sacrifices his life to save his children. Desperate, Arthur realizes that it's totally a plot
planned by Cyrus, to lead him here and die. Arthur feels hopeless. At this time, Kalina puts forward a
backup plan. That is, to blow up the entire house, which will also shut down the machine. But it's
extremely dangerous, and must be finished as soon as possible, because the machine will be
activated soon. Reaching an agreement on the backup plan. Arthur and Dennis go down to the
basement to save the children, while Kalina and the babysitter place the bomb in the control center.
Under the protection of a glass sheet, Arthur and Dennis successfully get to the basement though
being attacked by several ghosts on the way. However, things aren't going well for Kalina and the
babysitter. They bump into Cyrus near the control center after placing the bomb. The babysitter
shouts for help, while Kalina uncharacteristically smiles, and batters the babysitter to the ground.
After that, she steps forward to kiss Dr.Cyrus. Right then, it turns out that Dr.Cyrus faked his death,
and lured Arthur to come here. Kalina is in cahoots with Dr.Cyrus.

Her husband wasn't killed by Cyrus, but actually murdered by her, in order to give Cyrus the magic
book on controlling the ghosts. She also tricked Arthur to make him willingly sacrifice as the 13th
ghost, which will activate the machine, instead of shutting it down. Meanwhile, in the basement,
Dennis and Arthur are facing several ghosts with great danger. To make up for his fault, Dennis
sacrifices himself to keep Arthur safe from ghost attacks. Dennis dies after being tortured by the
ghosts. Immersed in the sadness of Dennis's death, Arthur finally gets to see the spirit of his beloved
wife. They've been missing each other. Arthur swears to save their children. However, before they
can express their feelings, Arthur's wife has been controlled and transferred by Dr. Cyrus's spell.
Later, Dr.Cyrus plays the spell through a speaker, to force all the ghosts to come to the turntable in
the hall. The turntable turns to be an activating device of the machine. The machine will start
running, once all 13 ghosts are gathered in place. Cyrus pushes Arthur's children to the center of the
turntable, to attract the ghosts to gather around. However, Kalina objects to hurting the kids. To this
end, Cyrus takes her magic book, then kills her brutally. Arthur follows his wife's spirit to the main
hall. His daughter and son are tied at the center of the running turntable, surrounded by 12 ghosts in
each of the 12 cells. If he wants to save his kids, he has to jump into the rotating machine, which
however, will cut him into pieces, and make him become the 13th ghost. Just then, Dr.Cyrus, who
has been hiding behind, appears before them. He reapproaches Arthur for achieving nothing in his
life, and says that Arthur should feel honored to die for his big dream. Arthur is enraged by his
words. He then fights Cyrus intensively. The babysitter, who wakes up from her coma, manages to
disrupt the machine control, releasing the ghosts from the rolling turntable. The ghosts hate Cyrus
for imprisoning them, so they throw him into the machine to slice him in an instant. At the same
time, the bomb placed by the babysitter and Kalina explodes, ruining the house immediately. At the
moment, Dennis's spirit shows up. He encourages Arthur to save the kids. With the encouragement
of Dennis, Arthur bravely jumps into the running turntable, protecting his children with his body in
the explosion. After that, the entire house is destroyed, and the ghosts are free eventually.
Fortunately, Arthur and his children survive in the explosion. In the end, Arthur's wife bids a final
farewell to the family, and disappears. This's Daniel cc movie channel Peace out.
