Task #1:

BACKGROUND OF CLIENT:
a) Name of organization:
 The name of the organization is ” ”. We designed a network for IT department of
USA.
b) Location of organization:
 The It department have a server room, faculty room, a computer lab that
accommodate almost twenty PCs, an IT lab with almost thirty computers, admin
office and HOD room.
 It is located in Lahore, Punjab.
 USA is an educational institute. IT department of USA have 80-100 computers

INTRO:

>MINAHIL WORK<

DESIGNED NETWORK:

The Network we designed is as follow:

TASK #02:
DEVICES USED:
The connecting devices used in the network are:
 2 Switches (Router0)
 1 Switches (Router1)
 2 Routers
 1 Server (email server)

The computing devices which used in the network are as follow:

 12 PCs in Router0 network
 06 PCs in Router1 network
The Connecting Wires which are used in the network are as follow:
 Copper-Straight Through wire

These are all the devices (connecting and computing) and the wires that are used in
the network in order to make our network useful and in the working form in order
to achieve our desired goal from the network.
Task #03: Task 3: IP addressing Scheme:

IP ADDRESSES:
GW stands for the Default Gateway and DNS stands for the Domain
Name System IP address. So, the GW, DNS, Host name of the devices and IPv4 of
the devices are as follow:

The IP Address of the Routers are as follow:

 ROUTER0: Host:
IP Address:

 ROUTER1: Host:
IP Address:

The IP Addresses of the Switches in the ROUTER0 Network are as follow:

 SWITCH1: Host:
GW: 192.168.1.254

 SWITCH2: Host:
GW:

The IP Address of the Server in the ROUTER1 Network is as follow:

 SERVER: Host: server-02

Interface: Static
IPv4:
GW:
DNS:
The IP Addresses of the Switches in the ROUTER1 Network are as follow:

 SWITCH0: Host:
GW:

 SWITCH3: Host:
GW:

The IP Address between the Switches of the Router0 Network is as follow:

LAN: 192.168.1.0/24

The IP Address between the Switches of the Router1 Network is as follow:

LAN: 192.168.3.0/24

The IP address between the Router0 and Router1 is as follow:

WAN: 10.0.0.4/30
(This above IP address is of Serial ports
between the both routers.)

WAN: 10.0.0.0/30
(This above IP address is of Gig ports
between the both routers.)

CONFIGURATION:
After adding all the devices and the wires in the network, we then
configure each device in the network in order to turn the connection between each
device in the network on.
 ROUTER0 Network: In this, we used two Local Area NETWORKS
(LAN) which are connected to the router0. In that two LANs, each LAN has
one switch which is connected to the routers.
Switch1 is connected with the Router1 by the Gig0/1 port. Both of
these switches have 2 routers which are connected by the Ethernet ports to
the switches. Switch 2 then is connected with the Router1 by using the
Gig0/2 port and router0 is using Gig0/0 port.

>>>> ROUTER USAGE ADD KRNA HAI YAHAN PR !! <<<<

 ROUTER1 Network: In this only one LAN is used. In this network, we

used one Switch 02 in order to connect multiple devices. With that
multilayer switch,
 One server is connected using Fast Ethernet0/1 port.
 One Repeater is connected using Fast Ethernet0/2 port.
 One Switch0 is connected using Gig0/1 port.
 Another Switch3 is connected using Gig0/2 port.
 With Switch0, 2 PCs are connected. One with Fast Ethernet0/1
port and other with Fast Ethernet0/2 port of the Switch0.
 With Switch3, 2 PCs are connected as well. One with Fast
Ethernet0/1 port and other with the Fast Ethernet0/2 port of the
Switch3.
 With Repeater, 3 devices are connected via internet. One is Tablet,
other is Mobile and last is Laptop.
In the end, after connecting all these devices with the multilayer
switch. That multilayer switch is connected with the Router1 using the
Fast Ethernet0/24 port and the Router1 is connected with the multilayer
switch using Gig0/0 port.

 Server is added in order to send emails in the Router1 network from one
device to another. We added all the PCs names and passwords in the email
option of the server (in the services tab). All the PCs also was configured in
order to connect to the server. We added the server DNS address in the PCs
email configuration option along with the PCs name and the passwords that
we added in the server. Same process is done with the Tablet, Mobile and
Laptop which is connected with the Repeater via internet.

 All the PCs in the Router0 Network are in the Static Interface and all the
PCS in the Router1 Network are in the DHCP Interface.
 Switch0 and Switch3 in the Router1 Network are connecter with each other
using Gig0/2 ports from both sides (means both switches are using the same
port).

 In the end, Router0 Network and Router1 Network are connected with
each other using Gig0/1 ports and also with Serial 0/0/0 ports from both
sides in order to transfer message from one network to another and also to
ping with each other.

 Prices

 Router (2)
Rs 57,456 [Rs. 114,912]
A router is a device that communicates between the internet and the
devices in your home that connect to the internet. As its name
implies, it “routes” traffic between the devices and the internet.

 3 switches
24-port= Rs 20,500 [Rs 61,500]
A switch is used in a wired network to connect to other devices
using Ethernet cables. The switch allows each connected device to
communicate to the other device 1 server
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>><<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<
 1 access point
Rs 3322
An access point connects to a wired router, switch, or hub via an
Ethernet cable, and projects a Wi-Fi signal to a designated area
>>>>>>>>>>>><<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<.
 6 server
Rs 55,000 [Rs 330,000]
The server is the computer that is providing information or services
to the other computers.
 PCs (18 PCs)
PC= Rs 59,160 [ Rs 1,064,880]
 Printers (3)
Rs= 35,500 [Rs 106,500]

 Total price= Rs 1,677,792 (excluding wires)

WORKING:

Working of the network is that we can send message from any PC of the
one router network to another router network pc. We can also send emails in the
router1 network from one computer to another. But we can not send email from
router1 network device to the router0 network device. But if we modify the
network a little we can also send emails between both router network devices.
