Student Centers are the places you show off on a campus tours, the spot where students can go
to study, socialize, meet, and get the resources they need. They also provide services and
conveniences that members of the school community need in their daily lives and create an
environment for getting to know and understand others through formal and informal
associations. According to a study, campus environment is the number one reason students
choose one institution over another, so it makes sense that more universities are investing in
new services and amenities for these prominent campus hubs.
You are to come up with a design proposal for a students’ center for FUBK, where activities such
as recreational, political, socio- cultural, educational and commercial activities can take place
comfortably. The scope of the center includes but not limited to; shops, restaurants, event hall,
internet café, pavilion, outdoor relaxation area/ garden, S.U.G Secretariat, and sports arena.
