2. Introduction
General Maintenance Information (GMI) is supplementary information and guidance on how to maintain
Bramidan equipment to the most optimum performance.

Through GMI, the Service Partners of the Bramidan Network will achieve an improved knowledge of the
new machines and the Service Partners will be able to prepare for making an efficient and professional job
when facing the challenge of a new machine.

General Maintenance Information will be updated with best practices and will contain the latest general
information.

Please contact support@bramidan.dk if you have solutions or best practices that should be included in
General Maintenance Information.

All information in this document and data available via links are Bramidan A/S property and any
distribution outside your Bramidan Network is strictly forbidden.

3. Installation
It is mandatory to follow the guidelines in chapter 6 in the Operation Manual – no. 7002-077

For the B3, because the bale is ejected manually, one of the important things to remember is to anchor the
machine correct. This to prevent any personnel injuries. Following picture is a snip from the manual.

5. Maintenance instructions
Bramidan recommends the machines to be serviced at least once a year with a special attention to
machines that are used intensively and in more than one shift. A minimum requirement for all types of
inspections should be safety issues and basic lubrication of moving parts such as doors, closing
mechanisms and cylinder pins.

The following maintenance videos are available for this machine:

6. Troubleshooting

In this section, you will find all the tips and tricks that we know so far. This section will develop over time
and in the following revisions, more videos will be added. The troubleshooting has been split to electrical,
hydraulic, and mechanical troubleshooting. In case you have any ideas on how to troubleshoot on a
particular topic, please send your documentation as a video to support@bramidan.dk so everyone can
benefit from your findings.

6.1.1. System walkthrough

The following section is explaining the electrical system related to the hydraulics. This will make it easier to
locate if a hydraulic problem is electrical related.

In the tables below the status is shown during the different states, this is used for troubleshooting to locate
a problem, from this you know which outputs that must be active.

In ServiceTool it is possible to monitor the outputs in the IO Status tab, the schematic snip is taken from
diagram no. 2651-377 which is showing the outputs for the solenoid valves.

On the print board the sockets for the solenoids are marked with both the output no. – Y1-Y4 and the
socket no. X7, X8, X9 & X12, this is used in relation to the IO status page from previous page.

On the hydraulic pump the output port is marked – D, G, H & B.

10
To check the output to the hydraulic valves, do following steps.

1. Take off plug on solenoid by loosening the Philips screw

2. Measure the DC current in plug as per photo

3. When valve is opened 24V must be measured

6.2. Hydraulic

Following hydraulic drawings illustrates the hydraulic flow in the system during the different states.

9. Critical spare parts

In addition to the standard spare parts kit from Bramidan, we define the individual parts for the exact
machine and necessary to operate as SPECIAL SPARE PARTS.

For the B3 and B4, we have the following special spare parts available, the ejector is only for B4.

Bramidan recommends keeping the following spare parts in your local stock:
