EXPERIMENT 7: SOUND/STRING WAVES

Plot the graph of frequency (f ) vs loop number (n). Determine the gradient of the plot. From the gradient
calculate the wave speed v and compare it with theoretical value in term of percentage different.
Results:

number of loop (n) Resonance Frequencies f (Hz)

Gradient m (from plot):

Question 1: What is the number series you determined from your experiment?

Question 2: If you have already studied standing wave patterns, try to explain your results in terms of the types
of standing wave patterns that are excited in your work
Question 3: Sketch and label node or an antinode from your wave pattern?

Question 4: Conclude your experiment
