Samborondón, December 13th, 2022.

The residential building proposal begins with the idea of creating a green space with a

harmonious environment for residents and visitors. Considering the current environmental

problems, the idea of adapting the greatest number of green spaces to the proposal was sought.

Which would increase oxygen production for residents and visitors and reduce their carbon

footprint.

On the façade, a vertical garden was proposed that covers the entire building due to the

inclusion of this vertical garden results in lower costs in air conditioning, because its green

façade regulates and softens the temperature of the building. A rainwater collection and recycled

water system were proposed to feed its green areas. The incorporation of green balconies on each

of its floors was proposed, giving residents an opportunity to have a space to grow their own

food in a safe and close environment.

Internally, the building proposes an open internal configuration, incorporating in an

environment the living room and dining room that connect with the apartment's garden,

providing a sensation of spaciousness and comfort. The ground floor includes the parking area,

green spaces and two 90m2 apartments, each with two bedrooms, a service area, a kitchen, a

dining and living room next to the garden area. The first floor will include 115m2 with the same

configuration and including a service area and a powder room. Finally, the third floor with two

150m2 apartments, which would add a service room, a powder room, and a storage room on its

configuration.

Throughout the development process of the building, some of the criteria were

considered to achieve LEED certification, among which was the creation of green spaces for the

recovery of ecosystems, the integration of native species of the area in its landscaping, among
others, which served as inspiration for the development and proposal of open and semi-open

spaces.
