Acoustic wood wool panel

Properties: sound-absorbing panel used to mitigate noise and reduce the reverberation and echo in a
space.

Characteristics: Acoustic wood wool is derived from wood shavings from logs of pine wood. Being
brown in colour, and in rectangular shape.

Acoustic wood wool boards are used as wood wool insulation boards or as sound absorption panels in
Lecture Hall 2, Al-Jurjani

Fire resistance: Wood wool boards do not burn easily hence are fire retardant. Durability: Wood wool
boards are sturdy compared to other insulation panels available in the market hence are more durable
and have a long service life.

Aesthetic appeal: Wood wool board is an innovative interior decoration and sound absorption material.
They can be painted to produce a variety of colour combination designs.

Acoustic panel

speech in a space.

Characteristic : An acoustic panel is typically composed of an absorbent foam for acoustic purposes and
a single-color or printed fabric cover. They are present in two types of blue colours and is in rectangular
shape.
Uses and application : Acoustic panels are used as sound absorption panels in Lecture Hall 2, Al-Jurjaini.

Durability: Acoustic panels are very durable and flexible in nature. Acoustic panels will degrade over
time regardless of material, and neglect will accelerate deterioration.

Maintenance: Cleaning the acoustic panels should be something to do as regular maintenance one to
two times per year depending on the amount of dust that collects in the space.

Aesthetic appeal: Acoustic panels can be in various shapes and colors. Not only enhance the acoustics of
the room, it can also create a visually appealing design as well such as geometric shapes.

Leather

Properties:

Characteristic : The black chairs have four legs made from metal and it is upholstered in black leather

Cost-expensive: It takes a slew of chemicals to properly cure and treat the leather so that it is nice and
usable. Leather is very heavy and difficult to deal with.

Sustainability: Leather is a byproduct of local farming and agriculture industries. It is considered

sustainable because the animals are not raised for the express purpose of using their leather for goods.

Durability: Leather is a strong, flexible, and durable material obtained from the tanning or chemical
treatment of animal skins.

Availability: The raw material used in the leather industry is derived from the waste product of food
industry, specifically from meat processing. Leather is produced from renewable and readily available
resource.
