5S

The 5S, Sort (Seiri), Set in Order (Seiton), Shine (Seiso), Standardize (Seiketsu), and
Sustain (Shitsuke), provide a methodology for organizing, cleaning, developing, and
sustaining a productive work environment.

Type of hazards

Physical Hazard - A physical hazard is an agent, factor or circumstance that can cause
harm with contact. They can be classified as type of occupational hazard or
environmental hazard.

Ergonomic Hazard - Ergonomic hazards are physical conditions that may pose a risk of
injury to the musculoskeletal system.

Biological Hazard - Biological hazards are organisms, or substances produced by


organisms, that pose a threat to human health.

Psychological Hazard - A psychosocial hazard or work stressor is any occupational


hazard related to the way work is designed, organized and managed, as well as the
economic and social contexts of work.

Chemical Hazard - A chemical hazard is any substance that can cause a health problem
when ingested or inhaled.
