MARKS CENTENARY PROJECT

INTRODUCTION

Tourism is vital for the success of many economies around the world. In
this world Sri Lanka is one of the main tourist attractions. Sri Lanka
earns so much money because of tourism. Every year thousands of
tourist came to Sri Lanka If we develop the tourism there are several
benefits . Tourism boosts the revenue of the economy, creates
thousands of jobs, develops the infrastructures of a country, and plants
a sense of cultural exchange between foreigners and citizens. The
number of jobs created by tourism in many different areas is significant.
These jobs are not only a part of the tourism sector but may also
include the agricultural sector, communication sector, health sector,
and the educational sector. Many tourists travel to experience the
hosting destination’s culture, different traditions, and gastronomy. This
is very profitable to local restaurants, shopping centers, and stores.
The southern part of srilanka is the one of the most popular tourist
attraction. Specially the galle and the surrounding areas there are lot of
beautiful places tourist can enjoy.

OBJECTIVES

 Creating an environment conducive for tourism.

 Attracting the right type of tourists to the country
  Ensuring that departing tourists are happy.
 Improving domestic tourism.
 Contributing towards improving the global image of Sri
Lanka.

PROJECT PROPOSAL

Sri lanka has only natural beauty,archaeological sites and our wide culture to
attract tourists.Apart from the situation,how to attract tourists through a great
design with a near experience?
Bringing the cultural elements of all the three districts in the southern province in
to one place and simultaneously missing the most modern entertainment
elements of the time to make.
Why we have chosen this place?
This Paradise is located near the Mattala international Airport and apart from the
experience offered by this situation,there are other tourusts attractions
nearby.Apart from that we need a large amount of land.
The Sri Lankan tourism industry has to think beyond traditional boundaries and be
actually involved in product development to make visits exciting for the tourist
and to position Sri Lanka as unique. So Our Proposal is to build a paradise near the
sea side so the tourist can get attract to our country (attracting quality
tourists).Our main idea is to build a paradise with including different things like ,
the shops having our traditional Sri Lankan things, Food museum, Bird watching
places ,etc.…
We chose a place near kirinda so it is a place where Maththala International
airport so tourist can quickly, without any problem can come to this. And other
thing is , this is a place where lot of tourist attractions are near by. Some of them
are Yala national park ,Lunugamwehera national park, Sithulpawwa, Kathragama,
Madunagala Hot water springs, Thissamaharamaya,etc….

the country. In other countries in near future, there will have
polluted air in their atmosphere.so by building this we can earn
tourists.
 We can Promote our traditional things to the world .We can export
them by promoting these things in our paradise.
 By this paradise we can promote our other tourist attractions near in
this place.
