LESSON PLAN IN DRESSMAKING 4

Quarter : 2nd Time: 8:30-9:30AM


Yr. & Section: Grade X – TLE-Dressmaking Date: April 12, 2021

Content Standard: The learner demonstrates understanding on the principles of designing and
sewing of ladies blouse.
Performance Standards: The learner plan, design and sew ladies blouse.
Competency: 1.6. Take client’s body measurement (TLE_HEDM9-12BL-IIa-d-5)
Pre-requisite lesson: Reading a Tape Measure

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
At the end of the lesson, the students are expected to:
1. Differentiate the horizontal, vertical, and circumferential measurement;
2. Appreciate the value of getting the correct body measurement through oral
questioning; and,
3. Take body measurement appropriately.
I. SUBJECT MATTER:
Topic: Taking Client’s Measurement

II. PROCEDURE:
A. Preliminary Activities

B. Review
The teacher will give a very short activity as a sort of review. She will randomly call a

Group Me, Measure Me!
From the same group, the students will be tasked to do body measurement based on
their assigned topic from the previous activity.
The teacher will instruct:
 This application activity allows you to practice getting correct measurement.
 You are to use your numerical ability to get correct measurement.
 I will only be giving you five minutes to gather the body measuremnt of your
members.
 Be mindful of the rules of this activity:
o Focus on your task
o Do not diturb others.
The teacher will then flash on screen the 3-minute timer. She will roam around and
check students’ participation.

IV. EVALUATION:
The students output on body measurement will be recorded as today evaluation.

V. AGREEMENT:
As an agreement, the students are to get the correct measurement of one (1) individual. It
could be their mother, father, guardian or a sibling. They should write it on a 1 whole
intermediate paper and should send a picture of their output on the messenger. For
students who do not have internet connection, they may just attach their outputs on their
modules. For students who are away and cannot send their outputs on time due to certain
difficult circumstances, they may contact and notify their teacher.
