INSTRUCTIONS TO CANDIDATES
Attempt all questions in section A and any all questions from section B.
Section A carry 30 marks and section B carry 40 marks.
Any additional question(s) answered will not be marked.
All necessary calculations must be done in the answer booklet provided.
Therefore, no paper should be given for a rough work.
Silent, non-programmable scientific calculators and mathematical tables with a
list of formula may be used.
SECTION A (40 MARKS)
1. Show that 3 √ 27− √ 48−2 √ 75+ √108=√ 3. (05 marks)
2. The sum of the third and fourth term is 46. While that of the fifth and the
