DELHI PUBLIC SCHOOL BANGALORE EAST

NEWSLETTER JANUARY 2023

CLASS VII

“A nation’s culture resides in the hearts and in the soul of its people.”
- Mahatma Gandhi
Dear Parents,
A new year represents a time of renewal. It’s an opportunity to shed old habits and
beliefs that are weighing us down and to focus on adopting fresh, positive goals that
will help us be more motivated. It is time to refine our thoughts, cultivate good
habits, enhance our personality and prioritize the goals that we would want to
achieve. It also gives each one of us an opportunity to look around with a revived
mind and with a positive mindset to begin all over again.

The month of January opens new doors for new beginnings with new possibilities.
It begins with the school reopening after the Christmas celebrations and the
rollicking vacation.

The month starts with Makar Sankranti which is a major harvest festival also known
as Pongal, Uttarayana, Lori, and Bhogali Bihu in different parts of India. In this
month, we also celebrate Republic Day when the largest parade takes place at Raj
Path, officially named Kartavya Path, in New Delhi every year. We also celebrate
Vasant Panchami, a festival that marks the arrival of the spring season.

January will be a buzzing month for our students as we move into the last episode
of our academic year. They will be ardently taking part in the activities that bring
forth their inherent potential, as well as, focusing on studies to prove their
competence. We strongly believe that our students will strive hard towards
achieving all their goals with great dedication and confidence.

On behalf of the entire DPS fraternity, we wish you and your family a very happy
new year filled with hope, health, happiness with a generous sprinkle of fun!

Regards
Class teachers of Grade VII

GLIMPSES OF THE ASSEMBLY
SPECIAL ASSEMBLY-CHRISTMAS
" Christmas isn't a season; it's a feeling"
Christmas is the most wonderful time of the year to celebrate with our friends and families. The
carols, jingle bells, snow, cakes and the embellished Christmas trees all add up to the festivities,
making it the much awaited and magical season of the year. Grade VII students celebrated
Christmas in all its glory and grandeur. Every nook and corner of the school was adorned with
stars, bells and hand made mistletoe which created an air of exuberance and gaiety.
FIELD TRIP
School trips provide an important opportunity to build relationships with peers and teachers and
to work as a team outside of the structured classroom environment. Keeping this thought in mind,
a trip to Eagles Unbound, Kanakapura was organized for the students of Grade VII. The children
enjoyed the fun filled day with various activities. It was a day well spent.
