AGENDA DELIBERATIONS ACTION BY

It was noted that commercial run for Functional Milk faced added water
challenges affecting all other product parameters.
• Fiber failed on BF, LA, and had high added water.
• Omega 3 & Vit A&D Failed on Density and LA.
o
The team agreed that Added water is not a parameter to meet legally but TEAM (R&I, QA,
PRD & TECH)
we need to meet density.
o
The team agreed to carry out trouble shooting of the process to understand
where added water is coming from.
• The trouble shooting methodology is as follows:
1. Follow the process though analyzing the projected product at
each stage to determine where added water is changing. A volume of
FUNCTIONAL 2,500 Ltrs same as mixing quantity will be projected each time in the
MILK RANGE
process. Scheduled to start on 14th But not done due to CIP Pump
failure.
2. Lab simulation to evaluate change in any chemical/Physical R&I
parameters in the product (Milk, Mix, autoclaved product) – To be
done on 15/06/2022.
o
To look to production plan and advise when to carry out all the 3 process
PRD
evaluations. Plan = 15/06/22, 16/06/22 and 20/06/22.
o
Analysis results to be shared to aid in trouble shooting and variation mapping:
QA
 Buffer – Mixing Tank – UHT Buffer – Pack.

o To run another batch after corrective action.


o
Production raise challenges being experience resulting to running at
slow speed:
 Bottles falling on the conveyer.
TUZO LALA  Bottle Shrink sleeving at the top. TECHNICAL &
380G PRD
o
The bottle is weight is lower and its slimmer than 500mg. This means as an
initial corrective action production/Technical needs to ensure the width of the
conveyor is adjusted to fit the slim bottle to eradicate toppling.

The bottle height is same as 500g but with a slimmer body which should give
better even sleeving at the neck. Some bottles sleeves are not well steamed on
one side indicating an issue with the steam tunnel – Technical to relook at the
issue.
o
More options and future wayforeward:
• Development of a new mold with flat bottle bottom – May not be a
solution considering the lighter weight of the filled bottle. It will require
4 months to develop another Mold.
• Adjustment of sleeve shrinkage resin ratios – Has a risk of resulting to
pinholes in steam chamber.
• Invest into a conveyor for the 380g bottle.

 To Challenge CHR Hansen through Promaco one more time on the
same.
