The teacher presents a series of pictures and let the learners
identify the elements and principle of arts that can be figured
out from the following pictures.

The teacher asks the learners the following questions.

1. Based on visual appearances, which picture is closer to


reality, American cartoons or Japanese Anime? Why?
2. Which of them offers greater detail of face structure, body,

dressing, etc? Can you cite some differences in their style?
3. Which do you think uses a wide range of color variants and
shades? Explain briefly.

The teacher started discussing about the East Asian Arts. She
states that, Asian art, often known as Eastern art, has a diverse
spectrum of influences from numerous cultures and religions.
Prehistoric men were the inspiration for the picture. Ochre and
black pigment were employed. Hunting scenes with horses,
lions, rhinoceros, mammoths, and other animals were
frequently shown in ancient paintings. These prehistoric murals
were created on cave walls, stone blocks, and other surfaces.
She also discuss the 10 common principles of arts and elements
of arts present in East Asian Arts.

 Abstraction After that, she then asks the learners these following questions;

1. What are the 10 common principles of art in East Asian arts?


2. How will you describe East Asian Arts?
3. What are the similarities and differences of East Asian arts
and Southeast Asian arts?

After that, the teacher presents an activity and let the students
determine the elements and principles of arts described in each
item.
