After finishing the documentation of your work in your portfolio the team leader

suggested designing a presentation to display the contents of the portfolio by creating a

presentation using PowerPoint while another team member suggested creating a
website. How does the team make this decision? *
Personal Reflection/Team Collaboration

As we are students in Stem school , we have Egypt grand challenges to solve it . Every semester we have
a challenge to do in a teamwork . This year we have to solve the problem of urban congestion by
constructing a pedestrian tunnel and we have to exhibit this project in front of teachers via any way . For
example : we can exhibit it by creating a presentation using PowerPoint or we can exhibit it by making a
website . Every one of them has pros and cons where , presentation with PowerPoint is faster than any
way to present our idea but , in this presentation , we put only topics in it and we didn’t present all ideas
in it . Creating a website needs much work and time but , in the website , we can put all of our ideas of
the project in it and present it more easily . The main factor that affects our chose is the time where , if
we are late , we will present it via PowerPoint . If we have finished , we will make a website . At the end ,
All the ideas are very good . If I have a complete decision , I will choose to create a website . If the I in a
team , we will think and we will choose the decision .

You are now in the EDP step of developing possible solutions. What would happen if
this was the first step of the EDP instead of the fourth step? *
Using the Engineering Design Process (EDP)

As we are students in Stem school , we have Egypt grand challenges to solve it . Every semester we have
a challenge to do in a teamwork . This year we have to solve the problem of urban congestion by
constructing a pedestrian tunnel . the first step of EDP process is defining the problem . Without this
step , we won’t define the problem and there won’t be a project where, this step is the introduction of
any successful project. by knowing the problem carefully , this gives us more prior solutions . For
example : we have to make the tunnel with recycled materials so we have to search about recycled
materials carefully to construct it and do the challenge successfully . After this step , we construct
hypothesis to find a solution . After choosing the solution we start to test it , if it has succeeded , we
write conclusions , if it hasn’t, we construct new hypothesis and choose another solution. EDP process is
a way to do our project successfully .

In your project before implementing your prototype you made a design for your tunnel;
explain how you use MA.1.04 about the similarity and its properties to design your
prototype.*
Learning Transfer
As we are students in Stem school , we have Egypt grand challenges to solve it . Every semester we have
a challenge to do in a teamwork . This year we have to solve the problem of urban congestion by
constructing a pedestrian tunnel . We learn a lot of subjects that benefit us . There are connections
between capstone and subjects . In Math , we have learned about the similarity and its properties .
Math helps us to know measurements accurately and try to apply in life. The similarity and its
properties helps us to design our prototype easily where, we made a design for our prototype
(tunnel) and searched about prior solutions to see old tunnels and try to make a tunnel like them
. The similarity helps us to adjust all measurements that we need to make our tunnel .For
example : after searching we found an example of a perfect tunnel with some design
requirements such as : the length of the tunnel shouldn’t decrease the 14m and the height
