Imagine your team leader is stubborn and doesn't agree on some steps in your test plan

while you (as a member of the team) can't be convinced by his point of view. How can
you deal with this issue?*
Personal Reflection/Team Collaboration

As I am student at STEM school .we work as a team . we should work on developing our collaboration
skills. Also , we have a capstone project to finish it . Every semester, we have a challenge to work on it .
Our semester project is to make a pedestrian tunnel . Every team should have a leader to organize the
work and give tasks . leader should be fair , collaborative , informative , doesn’t love himself and all the
members of the team should respect him .

Also, he should see other opinions of the other members and the team see the best opinion . All the
members of the team should follow him and if anyone has a problem , he should tell him and he should
listen to him. For example , my team leader is stubborn and didn't agree on some steps in my
test plan and there were some problems with him . I talked with him to solve the problem and saw his
point of view . Also , I listened to his point of view and we discussed. We reached to the best solution
with our team . we did this because the capstone is the way that we get our degrees .

It is stated in your design challenge that you will make two different designs with paper
before building the prototype to test. Explain two differences between your two paper
designs.*
Using the Engineering Design Process (EDP)

As I am student at STEM school .we work as a team . we have a capstone project to finish it . Every
semester, we have a challenge to work on it . Our semester project is to make a pedestrian tunnel . After
defining the problem and constructing hypothesis . we started to make different designs and choose
between them . we do that to see fast models that help us to choose the best solution . After
researching about prior solutions , we made two different designs before building our prototype to see
the best . the two designs were :

1- A pedestrian tunnel with arch shape within a rectangle .

2- A pedestrian tunnel with semi-circle shape .

We chose the second one because it distributes the load on all the tunnel and it satisfied all the design
requirements, while the first one didn’t satisfy the design requirements because the thickness was more
than 3 cm and the thickness should be less than or equal 3cm.
(Ph.1.03) You studied equilibrium Vs Motion. And in your project, you aim to build a
tunnel where the type of materials and soil will affect the tunnel equilibrium. Explain how
you can benefit from what you studied in your capstone project this semester. *
Learning Transfer

As I am student at STEM school . we have a capstone project to finish it . Every semester, we have a
challenge to work on it . Our semester project is to make a pedestrian tunnel . we study in school
subjects that help us in our capstone . There are many connections that help us . one from the subjects
that help us is physics . Physics is very important subject that helps us in everything in our life. We learn
in physics many learning outcomes that help us in the life and capstone . In my project, I aim to
build a tunnel where the type of materials and soil will affect the tunnel equilibrium. we
have studied in physics equilibrium and motion . To satisfy a successful tunnel, we should satisfy
equilibrium ( the net force should equal zero ,where the action ( load ( the type of materials and
soil ) ) and reaction ( hardness of the tunnel ) are equal and the tunnel doesn’t move) .On the other
wise , Motion shouldn’t be satisfied in this tunnel because Motion depends on that a magnitude of force
is more than the magnitude of force in the opposite direction . So, our tunnel should be equilibrium to
get the best design .
