The restobar began when Mr. Manelo's


aunt visited his property and saw an
opportunity and endless potential in the
location to open a restobar. Initially, the
restobar was formed as a partnership
between Mr. Manelo, his aunt, and two
close acquaintances of Mr. Manelo's
BUSINESS aunt. However, time makes other

split up due to numerous unresolved
disputes and conflict among the
members. Hence, from partnership, Mr.
Manelo Alabata now owns Barry's Place
Resto Bar solely. Barry's Place Restobar
has earned its name and continued to
operate thanks to his good management

We crafted the Vision, Mission, Goals and Objective


of the Business based on the workshop that we
have conducted with the employees of the Barry's
Place. Mr. Manelo Alabata wants to create a VMGO,
not coming from us; the strategist or coming from
him because he wants to know how his employees
value his business. He believes that they are the
reason behind the success of the Barry's Place.
VISION
A well known Restobar in the Philippines that
serves the best Bicolano dishes and
continuously strives for uncompromised
quality of foods, beverages, and services at
economical rates.
The Barry's Place aims to provide food and
beverages services and introduce Bicolano
dishes not just in the Bicol Region but
around the Philippines. They aims to
become well-known for their high quality of
food services.

STRENGTHS:

Barry's Place has an edge over other competitors


because it has a dart area, offers budget-friendly
foods and drinks, different event areas, a good
location, and customer loyalty. Barry's Place is the only
pub in Legazpi that has a dart area, which is why
darters from across Bicol Region continue to visit the
restobar. It is also near schools and various businesses,
and it is located along the highway. They also have
different event spaces, including two VIP areas, a
Karaoke room, and a bar area, to accommodate the
customers' various events. Since the Restobar offers a
budget-friendly menu, it increases customer loyalty,
and the majority of their customers are professionals
looking for a solemn and relaxing place to drink.

WEAKNESSES:

The Restobar's weaknesses include a lack of social


media engagement, a limited menu, no online
services, a small employee workforce, and no delivery
service. They only recently created their Facebook
page, which explains why they have limited online
customer engagement. They only have a limited
menu, making it difficult to satisfy customers. They
only have four employees at the restobar, making it
difficult to meet all of the customers' needs. The
restobar has not yet considered offering delivery
service.

Barry's Place already has a relatively large customer
base because many teenagers, adults, and professionals
enjoy drinking during their breaks and free time. Because
the bar is located on a busy highway, it has a large
market. Having a new target market allows the restobar
to develop new products and services by adapting to the
needs of the new market. This could help the company
have a great turn over growth and help the company
expand.

THREATS

Many bars is already existed in Legazpi City reason why the


Barry's Place have many existing competitors. The
continues increase of inflation rate also affect the prices
of supplies of the Restobar which could result for the
price of their foods and beverages to increase. Since
many people relied a lot on different online services this
could the bar at disadvantages they haven't offered
online services yet. The threats of the new bars could
also results to lose customers.

Strategic Management made me realize the importance of having Strategic


Management in attaining your business goals, developing the business current
services and regaining a competitive edge than your competitors which could
help your business to grow. I always thought that the only reason why
businesses fails is because of financial mismanagement but through this
course, strategic management is also one of the crucial factor that businesses
should always consider.

As the current Finance Admin of the Humano Construction and Barry's Place,
the learnings that I had attained through this course would help me to
improve my performance and apply this learnings not just in my current work
but also in my future business endeavors. It was a great opportunity that we've
chosen our workplace as our chosen business because this could really help to
improve our current services. With the help of the Strategic Planning that
we've conducted, I got a chance to know my co-workers more and how they
want to contribute to the growth of our workplace. It really amazed me
hearing from them all of their plans and visions for the Barry's Place. It was
also overwhelming to see my team mates being inspired from my workmates
because of the learnings that they've got from them through this activity.

An effective strategic plan requires knowledge, effort, and a deep


understanding of the business environment. Throughout the process of doing
the strategic plan, I have realized that there are various factors to be
considered before implementing or making any decision or move that will
affect the business. Planning is essential since it serves as a guide for what has
to be done in order to avoid wasting extra time and money. Furthermore, having
a strategic plan can assist the business in resolving any challenges that may
arise while doing business.

Having a strategic management subject this semester exposes me to the real


business world. This will serve as my stepping stone in pursuing my aspiration of
developing my own business someday. I got a glimpse of what's going on in the
corporate world and how challenging it is.

During the semester, I have gained a lot of insight and understanding of strategic
management and how the concepts learned can help me become a better specialist
in strategic management. These lessons have ranged from the basic definition of
strategy, strategic management, the different strategic management tools that can

strategy, and the best way to execute strategy.

Throughout the semester, the process has never been easy, but I know it was all worth
it as I've learned many things.

I've learned that putting up a business is no joke. It requires utmost precision in


formulating your plans, how will you establish your business in the market against the
tight competition, the resources you need, the strengths you need to maximize and
the weaknesses you ought to improve. These, however, are just the tip of the icebergs.
Furthermore, way before, I thought profitability is the most important aspect, but
along the way, it is irrelevant when compared to long-term landscape. But rather, it is
about creation of your brand, developing employee's morale, establishing relationship
with your customers and upholding utmost social responsibility.

Hence, strategic management managed provide me a good perspective of


strategizing business. Thus, when it comes to complexities of managing one,
there's always a process that needs to be followed.

Creating business entity is not as easy as we think is has a systematic process


that been exercise through out a business plan . I realize that there's many
factors that affect our business we must consider the factors that can affect our
business but not all factors can affect our business in negative way but some of it
can be use as our advantages. Before, building up a business entity we must point
