I. Bazi Term:
Term Definition
Heavenly stem រាសីខាងល ើ (H). 10 elements (H1-10)
Earthly branch ▪ រាសីខាងក្រោម (E). 12 years (E1-12)
▪ Determine seasons and temperature which have influence on the Bazi chart.
Daily Master ▪ 50% represent our personality (element under our day of birth on heavenly stem រាសីខាងល ើ
ថ្ងៃល ើត)
▪ Influenced by yearly, monthly, daily and timely energy. This is common for everyone
which means, for example, the stem and branch of June 2019 are the same for
everybody, but how it influences each individual is different depending on their own
Bazi chart.
Dominant energy Other elements on hour, month and year on both heavenly steam and earthly branch ─
that dominates the other element (element having more number and more power than
other elements). Determine 50% of your personality. Every person is different because of
dominant elements. It can make daily master imbalance.
Yong Shin Lucky elements that strengthen daily master
Da Yun ▪ Life cycle of each person that is determined within every 10 years (5 years controlled
by heavenly stem and 5 years controlled by earthly branch).
▪ Everyone has one energy flow (life cycle) that unique for each individual person.
Yun ▪ Yun branches are Year and Month.
▪ Something that human cannot decide or change like nature (e.g rain)
Ming Something that human can decide and do
Yun Ming ▪ Destiny: For instance, Yun is the rain, while Ming is whether we decide to stay at
home or go out with raincoat.
▪ Yun and Ming also interrelated to Yang and Yin. In human life, we are not sure how
much % is taken over by Yun or Ming; however, if we use Ming in the right way, we
will always stay in the middle position regardless in what situation of Yun.
▪ According to medical perspective, our body is influenced by many different aspects in
different seasons and year which is the aspect of Yun. Many practitioners try to focus
on those temporary symptoms and diseases; however, the real treatment can happen
if we try to see where our Ming aspect should follow to make our body, mind and
spirit in a balance state. That’s why we want to learn how to read Bazi. Usually, Yong
Shin takes the big part of the Ming aspect.
