1. What happens if there are no rules? With the presence of rules, are
individuals free? Explain

 Rules are the main ingredient in our society to operate properly, thus it help us tomove
and decide fairly in accordance to our life and without rules each lives will constantly
experience chaotic tragedies, human rights and our freedom would beextremely affected.

 Rules assist us in determining the right and incorrect actions that humans are capable of,
thus it enables us to keep the environment peaceful, and without them, we'd be free to
do whatever we wanted, despite being conscious of what is right and wrong. With the
existence of rules, humans are nonetheless free to do what they want. These rules, were
created to regulate the harmful deeds that we commit when we are out of control and
driven by our intense emotions. People would not be able to coexist in this world if there
were no rules. People couldn't make plans, and they couldn't leave their belongings
wherever they went. We would have no idea who to trust or what to expect from others.
It would be impossible to live a civilized, social life. The society will not be able to
function properly, moreover a country will be on a constant chaos. If there would be no
rules, laws, or regulations governing the environment, streets, and roads; sidewalks
would not be shoveled and open to the public; crimes would be committed; and there
would be no punishments. Although we are free to do whatever we want, but we should
always bear in mind that whatever we do will always affect something whether it’d be
bad or good. With the existence of rules, and if it is properly being set and followed, it
provides a stable environment and human co-existence in a community, resulting in
peace and order. Rules ensuresour rights as citizens against abuses by other people, by
organizations, by the government itself, and many others. Laws helps us in making our
general safety assured. We all feel the oppressive presence of rules, both written and
unwritten it’s practically a rule of life. Public spaces, organizations, dinner parties, even
relationships and casual conversations are rife with regulations. We rail against rules
being an affront to our freedom, and argue that “there to be broken”. it is notreally rules,
norms and customs in general that are the problem but the unjustified ones. Individuals,
and societies, face a continual battle over rules – and we must be cautious about their
purpose. So, yes, “standing on the right” on an escalator may speed up everyone’s
commute to work – but be careful of conventions that have no obvious benefit to all,
and especially those that

discriminate, punish and condemn. Rules, like good policing, should rely on our consent.
So perhaps the best advice is mostly to follow rules, but always to ask why.

2. Explain whether human behavior is influenced by external, situational factors

rather than internal traits or motivations.

 Situationism is the theory that changes in human behavior are factors of the situation
rather than the traits a person possesses. Behavior is believed to be influenced by
external, situational factors rather than internal traits or motivations. Situationism
therefore challenges the positions of trait theorists.

 Internal factors and motivations have an impact on human behavior. As we

become older, we begin to acquire our own perspectives on things while also developing
our own behaviors. We may be influenced by external situational factors, but it is these
behaviors that we eventually try to modify since we are constantly establishing our own
behaviors, which is where we begin to develop our own values and even moral
standards. This is the point at which we understand that what we thought was correct
behavior at the time was actually incorrect, and vice versa. Human Behavior is easy to
conquer with external situational factors rather than internal traits or motivation it’s
because human behavior has the potential and expressed capacity of human individuals
or groups to external stimuli over the course of their lives.

 Situationists believe that thoughts, feelings, dispositions, and past experiences and
behaviors do not determine what someone will do in a given situation, rather, the
situation itself does. As of what I have observed human behavior nowadays mostly differ
on what type of situation they are in.

3. Explain how virtues are formed or cultivated based on your background or social
surroundings that you are living in.

 Virtues are formed or cultivated when a person's characteristics are developed within
and by the communities to which he or she belongs, such as family, school, church, and
other public associations. Our personalities are profoundly influenced by the values of
our community/society as we grow and mature. The virtue approaches urge to pay
attention to the contour of our community and the habits of character they encourage
and instill by the personality traits that our community encourages, and by the role
models that our community puts imitationthrough traditional stories.

 Virtues are developed through learning and through practice. As the ancient philosopher
Aristotle suggested, a person can improve his or her character by practicing self-
discipline, while a good character can be corrupted by repeated self-indulgence. Just as
the ability to run a marathon develops through much training and practice, so too does
our capacity to be fair, to be courageous, or to be compassionate. According to "virtue
ethics", there are certain ideals, such as excellence or dedication to the common good,
toward which we should strive and which allow the full development of our humanity.
These ideals are discovered through thoughtful reflection on what we as human beings
have the potential to become.

 Based on our current social surroundings that we are living with right now, virtueswere
formed through influence of ancestors, parents, people that surrounds us, self-discipline
also plays a big role in human development in relation to virtue ethics. While other
alternative in forming virtues and to cultivate it is, through observing other people's
actions in the environment in which we currently live. With thorough observation of
others action we learn something and with the insight gained we tend to do what is right,
consequently it is when our virtues developed, primarily because we don't want our
actions to be the same as theirs. Virtues are therefore, produced or cultivated within
oneself, one's actions, and one's standards as a result.

4. Find a movie or tv series ( either domestic or international )that explains the

essence, importance, and value of a man as a human and a person. Kindly include
the name of the tv series or movie, when it is produced or released, the
characters, and state the summary or main points of the story. After that
explain the content of the chosen tv series or movie that relates to the concept of
man ( regarding his essence, importance, and value). Just like a movie or tv series
review.

 September 17 ,2021 a famous movie is being released entitled "Squid Game", the
characters in these movie are Lee Jung-jae as Seong Gi-hun (456) ,Park Hae-soo as
Cho Sang-woo (218),Jung Ho-yeon as Kang Sae-byeok (067),Oh Young-soo as Oh Il-
nam (001),Heo Sung-tae as Jang Deok-su (101),Kim Joo- ryung as Han Mi-nyeo
(212),Tripathi Anupam as Ali Abdul (199) ,Yu Seong-ju as the doctor, Byeong-ki (111).4.)
This game teaches many lessons in life that meas a person also realize. It teaches
me 11 life lessons. We must be careful of who we trust. Money can’t buy you
satisfaction or happiness. Don’t lose hope for humanity. Addiction is a slippery slope.
Don’t be too quick to condemn others. Brains can be worth more than brawns.
Desperation and greed bring out the worst in people. What goes around truly comes
around. Try to think of out-of-the-box solutions. Being last isn’t always the worst. Your
life can shine even in its final moments. Seong Gi-Hun as Lee Jung jae in the movie
entitled Squid Game is the man I choose to described his essence as a human, since
this movie reallyhits the heart of every netizen who already watches this movie and also
he is the main character in this movie. Lee Jung jae mimics his character extravagantly.
He really shows the importance of a man. As a man you have the responsibilityto take
good care women. As a man he shows the bravery even though he is full of doubts at
first. As a man until the end he shows the essence of friendship that even though that
friend of him betrayed him a couple of times, the love of friendship never dies. He
decided to quit the game even though he is near to win those tons of money. Lee Jyng
jae portrays a man with a good heart and in that itis enough to show how important man
is.
