Introductory Message
For the facilitator:

This module was collaboratively designed, developed and evaluated by the


Development and Quality Assurance Teams of SDO TAPAT to assist you in
helping the learners meet the standards set by the K to 12 Curriculum while
overcoming their personal, social, and economic constraints in schooling.

As a facilitator, you are expected to orient the learners on how to use this
module. You also need to keep track of the learners' progress while allowing
them to manage their own learning. Furthermore, you are expected to
encourage and assist the learners as they do the tasks included in the module.

For the learner:

This module was designed to provide you with fun and meaningful
opportunities for guided and independent learning at your own pace and
time. You will be enabled to process the contents of the learning resource
while being an active learner.

The following are some reminders in using this module:

1. Use the module with care. Do not put unnecessary mark/s on any part of the
module. Use a separate sheet of paper in answering the exercises.
2. Don’t forget to answer What am I Good at? before moving on to the other
activities included in the module.
3. Read the instruction carefully before doing each task.
4. Observe honesty and integrity in doing the tasks and checking your answers.
5. Finish the task at hand before proceeding to the next.
6. Return this module to your teacher/facilitator once you are through with it.

Sebastian’s Daily Routine

Sebastian is 9 years old and he lives in the city. On weekdays, he


gets up at 6:00 AM. He takes a bath and brushes his teeth. After that,
he gets dressed and has his breakfast fried eggs and rice. Every
morning, he also drinks a glass of milk. His online class begins at 6:45
to 9:30 am. He has two subjects every day. After his class, he takes a
rest for a while, then do his homeworks. He usually eats his lunch at
11:30.He sleeps every afternoon from 1:00 to 3:00. He plays for a while
with his baby sister and helps his mother in some of the household
chores. He watches television every 6:00 to 7:00 pm. He eats his dinner
at 8:30 pm with his family. Then, he brushes his teeth and put on his
favorite pajamas. He reads his lessons and books and goes to bed.

What’s the meaning?
- The present tense of verbs is used to express an action that
happens regularly or habitually. It states general truth.
- Time expressions like everyday, every week, once a month,
usually, often, on Fridays and yearly show present tense.

Examples:
Mother and I go to bookstore on Saturdays.
We look at the new books on sale there.
I read my lessons and do my homework everynight.
I go to bed after doing my homeworks.
Churches, temples, and mosques serve as places of workships.
Many people go to church every Sunday.

Read the short paragraph. Underline the verbs in the present
tense.

A. The students of Teacher Malou often organize programs for the


school. They decorate the stage. Teacher Malou motivates her
students by constantly recognizing their efforts. She always gives
extra credit to the students for their initiative and responsibility.

What did I get?

-Verbs in the simple present tense express general truth, fact and
opinion, and habitual action.

-They are either in the base form or ending in s. Verbs with s or s form
are used for singular subject. Verbs in the base form are used for plural
subject.

- Time expression such as daily, on Wednesday,every afternoon, everyday,


and always tell habitual actions.

What can I show?


Write a short paragraph about the things you do regularly
during the lockdown due to Covid – 19. Use the following time expressions.
