RIMS –Nepal 

is a non- profit making, non-governmental organization committed to transform lives and living
of poor and vulnerable people by managing resources, building capacity, promoting social justice and widen
collaboration. It has been established on 2001 in Dhading.

RIMS-Nepal is implementing Food Security Enhancement and Agricultural Resilience of theEarthquake-


Affected Rural Nepalese Farmers [FOSTER-II] program with the partnership of ADRA-Nepal in different
parts of Dhading district. In order to implement the programme, RIMS Nepal is looking for experienced and
qualified candidates for the following position with given requirements.

Vacancy Announcement

Pro Public, a non-profit and non-governmental organization, is looking for experienced, dynamic, self-
motivated, and creative candidates for the following position.

Position: Legal Officer


Duration: Initially one year with possible extension
Location: Kathmandu
Salary: Rs. 25,000.00 per month
Education/Professional Qualifications and Skills:

 At least completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in Law and having a license of the advocate;
 Experience in drafting writs on Public Interest Litigation (PIL); registration, follow-up, coordination of
the writs, and attending hearings in the courts;
 Experience in the preparation of reports; advocacy letters; management of events and so forth;
 Experience and willingness to support/prepare the project proposals for exploring the resources and
opportunities;
 Coping skills to work with a diverse team and managing the responsibilities even on short notice;
 Fluent in Nepali and English, both spoken and written;
 Proficiency in computer use i.e. Microsoft word, excel, PowerPoint, email/internet, etc;
 Skill to ride a motorbike and have a license.
