Installation Checklist
Installation Checklist

After installation and wiring, check the following items.

[1] The wiring is correct.
[2] No loose wires or screws remain inside the Inverter.
[3] The screws and terminals are all tight.
[4] There are no loose threads of wires at terminals that may contact other terminals.
[5] Do not change the JP4 on the conversion-board!
[6] PC11S\ cannot bc uscd togcthcr with thc !nvcrtcr kcypad. Thcrclorc, plcasc sct thc
lollowing lunctions with thc !nvcrtcr kcypad bclorc using PC11S\.
Inverter parameters such as H30, o27, o28, o31 to o40, are set correctly. (H30: Link
Active/Inactive, o27 and o28: for RAS, o31 to o40: for I/O assembly instances)

1.1 Introduction to DeviceNet
cviccNct is uscd lor industrial automation, normally lor thc control ol valvcs, scnsors and !/ units and
othcr automation cquipmcnt. Thc cviccNct communication link is bascd on a broadcastoricntcd,
communications protocol, thc Controllcr Arca Nctwork (CAN). This protocol has !/ rcsponsc and
high rcliability cvcn lor dcmanding applications,c.g., control ol brakcs.
cviccNct has an uscr organisation, thc pcn cviccNct \cndor Association (\A), that assists

most common tool is thc RSNctworx lrom Rockwcll, this is thc onc that is uscd in this cxamplc.
Installation of EDS-file
Thc lirst timc you start up thc conliguration tool you must install an S lilc lor thc PC11S\. This lilc
contains inlormation about thc intcrnal structurc and !/ conliguration ol thc dcvicc. 8y choosing Tools ~S
Vizard in thc mcnu ol RSNctVorx thc dialog shown bclow will appcar, You must cntcr thc location ol thc S lilc
hcrc. Altcr this RSNctVorx will install all thc inlormation lrom thc S lilc into its databasc.
