I disagree with this statement, as there are other ways to show case love for one’s country such as
promotion of tourism and procurement of local products that will be discussed in this essay.

2. To what extent do you agree or disagree

A person’s worth nowadays seems to be judged according to social status and material possessions.
Old-fashioned values, such as honor, kindness, and trust, no longer seem important. To what extent do
you agree or disagree with this opinion?

Thesis Statement:
I strongly disagree that traditional values are not necessary in the present time as it helps individuals in
presenting someone’s integrity, which can provide assistance in terms of career growth, and personal
relationship, which will be further, discussed in this essay.

3. Discuss advantages and disadvantages only

Many people believe that an effective public transport system is a key component of a modern city.
Discuss the advantages and disadvantages of public transport.

There are benefits and drawbacks of utilizing public transportation, which will be further discussed in

In some countries, governments are encouraging industries and businesses to move to regional areas

The development has more benefits than the drawbacks, which will be further cited in this essay.

Nowadays, more people choosing to socialize online rather than face-to-face. Is this a positive or
negative development?

Thesis Statement:
I believe that this trend is a negative one as it may lead to isolation and potentially harmful situations,
which will be elaborated in this essay.

6. Discuss two views plus your opinion

Some people say children no longer need to develop handwriting skills. Others believe that handwriting
is still important. Discuss both views and give your opinion.

The aforementioned views and my opinion will be further discussed in this essay.

To some people studying the past has little value in the modern world. Why do you think it is important
to do so? What will be the effect on children and on society if we are not taught history?

Thesis Statement:
There is importance in studying history as it opens opportunities for improvement in this present
however if universities had not introduced history, people might repeat the same situations in the past
and both these ideas will be further discussed in this essay.

8. Cause and effect / Problem and solution

Crime rates tend to be higher in cities than in smaller towns. Explain some possible reasons for this
problem and suggest some solution.

This situation might result to several problems, as there are solutions that can be done to overcome
them, which will be further discussed in this essay.
