Although the novel only has 31 chapters, it is full with stunning truths and plot twists. The book
falls under the thriller, sci-fi, and psychological genres. The story starts with Lothryn, who is led
to believe that he and his father are the only survivors of a zombie apocalypse when the novel
opens. Hannah is a college student who is unsure about what academic path to choose. The
two first meet after one of Hannah's friends is shot dead by Lothryne, who recently left home
after his father died. Lothryne then goes on to kidnap Hannah unconscious. The story continues
as Hannah learns the truth about the boy who took her and Lothryne learns how the world may
not be as his father claims. The story then takes a turn for the worst as additional unresolved
mysteries are revealed.
