1. A person selling a bar of gold approached you.

The person says it is pure gold

and showed you a shining, gold-colored metal bar. He gave you a price and
will turn over you the gold bar if you would give him the money.

If I would be in this situation, I would simply ignore the person or dismiss them. I
tend to not believe it when they sell something as valuable as gold in the streets. If you
want money from a real bar of gold, you don’t go to a random citizen for it, you go to a
jeweler or a pawn shop. The logic of the situation is non-existent therefore I do not
believe it.

2. A person tells you that a member of your family met an accident and asks you
to meet him with a certain amount of money as down payment for the
hospital bill.

Obviously, I would not send him money immediately because that is not what you
do in a situation like this. Usually, when someone is met with an accident, contacting the
family and letting them know what happened and what hospital that person was
admitted to is the first step before the talk of money even comes up. So, I would ask first
which relative and what hospital, and if he gives me the name, I would contact them
both to confirm.

3. Somebody came out in the media accusing another person to be a crook

In all my time in the internet, I have been a witness of many situations like this, some of the allegations
ended up being fake but most for the most part, true.
