DETAILED LESSON PLAN IN GRADE 3

I. OBJECTIVES
At the end of the lesson, the students should be able to:
a. explain what is Proper Nouns and Common Nouns;
b. create a table identifying Proper Nouns and Common Nouns; and
c. appreciate the importance of learning proper noun and common noun.

loaf of bread and piece of meat in the hole of a tree.

The hungry wolf squeezed into the hole. It ate all the
food. It was a woodcutter's lunch. He was on his way
back to the tree to have lunch. But he saw there was
no food in the hole, instead, a wolf.

On seeing the woodcutter, the wolf tried to get out of


the hole. But it couldn't. Its tummy was swollen.

The woodcutter caught the wolf and gave it nice


beatings.

C. Motivation
I have here a table with 4 columns (persons, places,
animals and things). Beside the table are list of
words. If you believe that the word is a name of a
person, then place it to its column (person) and so
the same with others.

There are many kinds of nouns, but today we are


going to talk about the first two kinds of nouns. The
Proper Nouns and Common Nouns.
