CHAPTER 4: RESEARCH FINDINGS The sample for this study consisted of

50 Grade 12 students from Bagong Barrio Senior High School SY-2022-2023,

with 30 female and 20 male respondents. The age range of the respondents

was diverse, with 40% being between 16-18 years old, 27.3% being between

21-24, and 31.8% being between 18-20. The findings of the study indicate

that online shopping has both positive and negative effects on Grade 12

students. A majority of the respondents (45%) reported that online shopping

saves them money, while 55% reported that it does not. A large majority of

the respondents (95%) reported that online shopping saves them time, while

5% reported that it does not. One major concern of online shopping for

students is the potential for fraud. 54% of the respondents reported

experiencing fraud in online shopping, and 59% of these respondents

reported that it had an effect on their mental health. The most commonly used

online shopping platforms among the respondents were Shopee (72.7%),

Lazada (13.6%), and TikTok (13.3%). The biggest concern among the

students in regards to online shopping was product quality (86.4%), followed

by logistic problems (9.1%), and payment issues (4.5%).


CHAPTER 5: CONCLUSION AND RECOMMENDATIONS

The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of online shopping on

Grade 12 students of Bagong Barrio Senior High School SY-2022-2023, and

to identify the biggest concerns of the students in regards to online shopping.

The study found that online shopping had both positive and negative effects

on the students, with the majority reporting that it saves them money and

time. The most commonly reported concern among the students was product

quality, followed by logistic problems and payment issues. Based on the

findings of this study, it is recommended that online shopping platforms take

steps to improve product quality and address logistic and payment issues in

order to increase trust and confidence among consumers. Additionally,

education on how to identify and prevent fraud in online shopping should be

provided to students to protect them from potential negative effects on their

mental health.
CHAPTER 4: RESEARCH FINDINGS

This chapter presents the findings of the study on the impact of online

shopping on Grade 12 students at Bagong Barrio Senior High School. The

data collected from the survey was analyzed to answer the research

questions and objectives of the study. Demographics The sample population

consisted of 50 respondents, 30 of whom were female and 20 were male.

40% of the respondents were aged 16-18, 27.3% were aged 21-24, and
