Why do you call the place you live in now “home”?

Home is said to be "where the heart is," and I refer to my home location as "home"

because I think that home encompasses more than simply my house. It is the people I feel

comfortable with, it is the bond, relationship, and memories we have shared together.

Because a house, no matter how big and lavish it is, can also not be a home when a person

does not feel comfortable in it. And a house, even though small, noisy, and crowded, can be

called a home. And I can say with certainty that the place I currently call home is where love

dwells, where memories are made, where I will always be, and where joy never ends. In

addition to feeling at home, this is a location where I eagerly anticipate enjoying each day to

the fullest. A house is created with bricks and wood, but a home is formed with the ties that

bind a family.

What defines “home” to you?

The meaning of a "home" in the dictionary is "the location where one continuously

resides, particularly as a member of a family or household." But to me, my home is much

more than simply its physical construction or the structure of the building. Home is where I

am with the people I have come to adore and love. Home is not just for family, it can be for

friends you have made, a found family. They are the ones that consistently make me laugh
and who are there for me just because they want to. Nothing and no one can come close to

them in terms of their ability to make me feel happy and at ease just by being there. They can

never be replaced. To me, they are everything. Most importantly, though, they serve as a

constant reminder that I am never lonely and that they will never abandon me. Because it is

more than simply a place, they are the people I call my family.
