ABSRACT

The incident of Sexually transmitted diseases are diseases that happens most
cases as a result of contact with patient, carrier or convalescent either by
intercourse or careless handling of discharges or inoculation via the blood
stream.
In most cases, these diseases spread as a result of rapid expansion of
prostitution among women and the dirty practice of homosexuality and
lesbianism in many parts of the country.
The research work contains four (IV) chapters, in which chapter one (1)
contains purpose/objectives of the study, introduction, background history,
problems statement, hypothesis, limitation of the study, operational definitions.
While chapter two (2) contains literature review. Whereas chapter (3) contains
methodology, types and causes of sexually transmitted diseases, effects of
sexually transmitted diseases. Chapter four (4) posses Data
analysis/presentation, findings, summary/conclusion, recommendation, list of
abbreviation, list of figures/tables, bibliography, questionnaire. Inconclusion,
suggestion was made for the students, individuals, government and non-
governmental organization to embark research or improve research on STDs to
enhance its uptake.
