Measurement of break mean effective pressure and break

power of
Petrol engine
Apparatus:
• Engine Cycle Analyzer
• TD202 & TD212

Procedure:
• First
of all check all the safety precautions and then switch ON the
engine.
• Run the engine at specific rpm and take readings through computer
or through interface of the engine cycle analyzer.
• Note the speed of the engine.
• Note the power of the engine.
• Note the mass flow rate of fuel.
• Repeat all these steps and take five readings by changing the rpm of
the engine.
