Please receive the following information of your child/ward timetable and the rules and guidelines for internal examinations. Do use the opportunity to go through the Student and Parent Handbook together to assist in navigating this critical period of academic life. Be reminded that students are to attend school only on the days for their examinations. Completed End of Term | Reports will be available online on Tuesday 6" December 2022 Additionally, in the final week of school students will be involved in the traditional Parang, Carol & Folk Singing House Competition on Wednesday 7" December 2022 and Class Parties or Field Trips on Thursday 8 December 2022. Please note that the Bazaar Fundraising Event has been postponed to next term and the PTA Christmas Dinner carded for Saturday 17 December 2022. Sci (A [Geography (1%) ‘Thu. 1* December Lang Arts (1%) | French (A) ‘Fri, 2% December NO EXAMS J School's Motto: Sursum Corda (Lift Up Your Hearts) \ St. Stephen’s College RULES FOR THE CONDUCT OF INTERNAL EXAMINATIONS The following rules govern students’ conduct during the course of Internal Examinations at the College. * All examinations are to be written on the College’s Examination Pads. Absolutely NO study notes, revision points and/or practice questions are to be written in or tucked into these examination pads! ‘* All writing must be done in black or blue ink only unless a subject area requests the use of pencils or coloured inks. © Borrowing of items is NOT permitted, Students must be equipped with their own materials (exam pad, graph paper, pens, pencils, erasers, non-programmable calculators, geometry sets, rulers, staplers). ‘* All permitted smart devices (cell phones, tablets, laptops) must be TURNED OFF, placed into bags/folders and placed at the front of the examination room. Smart watches and programmable electronic calculators are NOT PERMITTED on the school compound! Possession of any smart device (permitted and not permitted) and/or any other unsuitable materials, during an examination, will be taken as acts of dishonesty and students will be penalized accordingly. (Please consult Student and Parent Handbook.) * Before the start of an examination, students are required to check their examination pads, their desks, their person, graph books, geometry sets, pencil cases etc to ensure that no unsuitable materials (study notes, revision points, answers to questions, diagrams ete) or items are present. ‘* All instructions given by the Supervising Teacher/Examination Invigilator must be obeyed! The Teacher’s/Invigilator's decision is final. ‘* No student will be allowed into the examination room after [30] minutes from the start of an examination! * Students who leave the examination room during an examination will not be allowed to return, ‘© Students must sign a record sheet when their examinations are being handed-in to the Supervising Teacher. * Students who discover that they did not hand-in part or all of their answer sheets must immediately report this to the Supervising Teacher or the first available teacher. Such answers will NOT be awarded marks. * No make-up examinations will be given unless a student has been granted permission by the Principal to represent the College at an event during an examination, © Students absent from an examination with a valid medical and/or excuse (death of an immediate relative) will be recorded as ABSENT". Without a valid medical and/or excuse, a mark of zero will be incurred, * Students found cheating during examinations will be debarred from all examinations for that term, no marks will be entered but instead an entry of cheating’ will be placed on the students’ records, © During the examination period, all students are expected to obey all school rules related to uniform and conduct. Poor attitude and behaviour during examinations will not be tolerated and students may be prevented from writing an examination if they disobey these rules. # Students engaging in unruly/disorderly/disruptive behaviour at the end of an examination period will be logged and face the consequences of their actions at the start of the new term.
