INTRODUCTION
According to a survey conducted between 2010 and 2016, 17% of students in
secondary schools between the ages of 12 and 16 are overweight or obese,
compared to two to 6% of children between the ages of 0 and 5, according to
Minister Emmanlin in 2019. A restriction was imposed as a result; vendors were
not permitted to sell sugary drinks and sweets in addition to parents giving their
children to attend school. That hasn't stopped surrounding stores and supermarkets
from offering sweetened beverages, though. Despite the fact that Grenada is seeing
an increase in the number of overweight or obese children. This Sba will reveal if
St. Rose students drink more fruit- or sugar-based beverages.
