Background

a) TNT Express is a global express packages firm that provides timed and day-
specific collection and delivery. Every week, it distributes an average of 4.4
million parcels, papers, and pieces of freight to over 200 nations. TNT was
founded in Australia following World War II in 1958. TNT Express is listed and
traded on Euronext Amsterdam under the ticker TNT. The company supplies to
over 150 countries and employs over 80,000 people worldwide.

Statement of the Problem

a) TNT Express personnel must adopt the 10-step approach to prepare for a more
complicated work environment since it is a logical, step-by-step process that
makes sense. It lays out a clear plan for how the project will be carried out, and
the fact that their work will involve ongoing monitoring reassures the team that
their efforts will be measured and improved as needed along the way.

b) TNT Express must employ Histogram since its key advantages are its simplicity
and versatility. It can be applied in a variety of circumstances to provide an
informative look at frequency distribution. TNT Express, for example, will
employ sales and marketing to design the most effective price strategies and
marketing campaigns, as well as to see the various inflows and outflows of their
logistical processes.

c) TNT Express will benefit from the standard's worth as well as a sales marketing
advantage with ISO 9000. And they may optimize their business processes
while lowering scrap, rework, and costs. Then, manufacturers with similar
products, services, and prices utilize the certification to differentiate themselves
from their competitors, giving them a marketing edge.
Areas of Consideration
TNT sought to study best practices technologies, specifically secure print release and
Equitrac 'Follow you' printing and select technology that would satisfy their needs for
the next six to seven years. They were also searching for a provider who could provide
cost and service reporting, as well as help them expedite their electronic archiving
needs through docket and document scanning. Understanding and expertise of TNT's
long-standing procurement strategy were critical, since there had to be a significant
value add or cost gain for them to switch vendors. As a result, the onus was on each
supplier to provide convincing reasons to select their technology.

 The current fleet was nearing the end of its useful life.
 Lower the total cost of document equipment ownership.
 Boost productivity.
 Lower the annual print volume.

Alternative Courses of Action

Alternative 1: TNT Express need to maintain and develop effective competition.

 Within the common market, taking into account, among other things, the
structure of all the markets involved, current or possible competition from
enterprises based either within or outside the Community, the market position of
the undertakings concerned, and their economic and financial capacity.

Alternative 2: They should know the availability of their products to suppliers and
costumer.
 Their access to supplies or markets, any legal or other barriers to entry, supply
and demand trends for the relevant goods and services, the interests of
intermediate and ultimate consumers, and the advancement of technical and
economic progress as long as it benefits consumers and does not obstruct
competition.
Recommendation
a) I advise TNT Express to strive to satisfy consumers every time, to challenge and
enhance all of their efforts, to be passionate about their employees, to operate as
a team, to evaluate success through sustainable profit, and to work for the
greater good. They should also have clear goals and objectives, such as gaining
a competitive advantage by growing core competencies and identifying gaps and
attempting to close them through resource development.

Management Lessons Learned

a) In order to avoid superfluous things in their company, TNT Express should not
suddenly modify their strategy, especially if they do not yet know if it is effective
in their organization. TNT knew how many devices they had and the annual
amounts of print output by device, but they had no clear estimate of the amount
of wasted paper or copy costs due to incorrect or needless printing.
