Types of Joint
A joint is “the junction of members that are to be joined or have been joined.”
There are five basic types of joint .These five joint types derive their names
from their basic configurations .
1.Butt Joint – describes the configuration when two members to be joined are
aligned in the same plane and are connected at their edges.
