It's typical to want others to be different, usually more like us. It's good to influence them
in positive ways. Problems arise when we are self-righteous, furious, fault-finding, annoying, or
otherwise try to persuade others to change. Diversification makes the world more interesting.
We feel connected to others when we mix with folks who are different from ourselves. By
learning about the world and ourselves, we grow intellectually and spiritually. Respect for others'
similarities and differences offers numerous doors. Learning new things and making better
decisions will benefit your career and increase your self-esteem. Our openness can lead to new
connections, and travel chances, or make us more intriguing because of our larger perspective.
We were all raised differently and had diverse backgrounds, thus we have varied
differences can make us prejudiced. However, accepting differences doesn't mean agreeing. It
means to do your thing and mine. Or you think it your way and I'll think it my way without trying
to alter your view. Acceptance does not mean you accept poor behavior from others. We must
pick who we let into our lives and set limits for those who bring us harm. Suspending our
judgments about them provides us peace of mind and exposure to the benefits of our
differences.
