REFLECTION – HRITISHA

My EUMIND journey was a quite a memorable one. I was the interviewer of my group
“ARTISTS IN ACTION” and I had a great learning experience as a part of my group .

As the interviewer of my group my main task was to

interview five artists and ask them questions about art,
Thanks to this assignment I gathered confidence to
interview artists I am familiar with in a professional way.

I would like to thank my interviewees, the artists-, Ms.

Shweta, Ahmed, Anandi, Tamanna, and Durva for giving
such meaningful interviews.

My group discussed a lot on what Dutch painter we should base our work on and how we
should go about with our group collage. Later, we finally decided on the great Vincent Van
Gogh. We started with our group collage and finished our work in the span of two three
weeks by occupying our lunch breaks during school hours. It was so nice painting our ideas
together. We surfed on the internet about elements popular in Netherlands and we found
out that windmills and tulip fields are a common sight in Netherlands. Hence our group
collage consisted the same with incorporating van Gogh’s style of nature painting, we
made the tulips by doing knife painting. we also painted CSW Van de Perre to
commemorate the beautiful school.
Our schools interchanged messages, Dutch and Hindi song paintings and art articles in the
international group. I had made an artwork on Andre Hazez- Bloed zweet en tranen.
After a few weeks, we had the most awaited session of EUMIND which was the ART
GROUP VC where we finally interacted with the students of CSW and discussed about art
with them and asked them various questions. I am so grateful that I was a part of this
wonderful platform.
