Introduction
In the classroom, technology can be such a great help. I chose to write about iPads and
the Smart board. Ipads have been used for years in the classroom helping with learning. The
smart board has been used for just a few years. It is an interactive board for students. Instead of
just a white board, they can use this and answer questions on it.
Every student gets excited when they learn of a new piece of technology, but over the last
few years or so iPads have become a common addition to classrooms. While the iPad has its
benefits and drawbacks, it seems to be largely successful in helping high school students with
their studies. It is currently unknown whether or not textbooks and the iPad are a better option
for high school students, but it is clear that there are pros and cons to each option. Since 2010,
over four hundred districts in America have purchased iPads for their high school students.
However, there are also many teachers and students who believe that the iPad is a
distraction in the classroom and can be a negative for students' studying habits. With the iPad in
a high school classroom, there are more opportunities for students to do faster research and to
introduce multimedia subjects into the classroom, but the iPad can also break, run out of battery,
or be a distraction for students in class. In 2010, Apple released its new tablet, the iPad. The iPad
is a lightweight device that is used to replace books and laptops in high school classrooms across
America. While the iPad has its pros and cons, it has been largely successful in helping high
school students with their studies. In April 2010, Apple released its newest gadget, the iPad. The
iPad is extremely thin, light, and has the latest software to make reading books, checking email,
iPads and laptops help to increase idleness; the variety of study materials allows students
to learn in new and exciting ways. From interactive books to apps that help students learn just
about anything, iPad classrooms hold students' attention and keep them engaged. Another great
advantage of iPads and laptops is that they can be customized to meet the needs of individual
students, including those who have difficulty concentrating in a traditional classroom setting.
The apps that are available to use in a 1:1 classroom or through virtual learning can meet the
needs of all students, which will help to keep them engaged. For example, dyslexia sufferers can
use the voice to text feature to help them learn more easily. The ability to have a personalized
approach that is tailored to each student’s needs is a great benefit, which will keep them

Smart boards facilitate divergent learning, supported joint thinking, and interactive
learning by allowing students to skip from pages on the screen to the internet in a structured
and fluid manner. Support for previous research findings in interviews conducted with teachers
at the Efrata elementary school in Jerusalem, who stated that smart boards are more convenient
and effective for both teachers and students. Students' achievements increase significantly
when interactive whiteboards are used for teaching purposes. Teachers who use smart boards
report a rise in the quality of teaching, which is facilitated by the ability to conduct lessons that
combine multimedia, which attract the students' attention and imagination. The Smart Project
study found that smart boards improve teaching and learning and benefit both parents and
students. It is necessary to add smart classrooms throughout the entire school system.
Although many studies show that use of smart boards improves learning and makes
teaching meaningful, a study found that students who study in classrooms with regular boards
Smart boards have advantages and disadvantages, depending on the teacher's use of
them. Teachers must teach how to use them and prepare themselves well for each lesson.
The cognitive-thinking aspect of good teaching includes order and organization of the lesson,
clarity and interest, and lets students understand the subject material and apply it. The
correlation between use of smart boards and student evaluations of the dimensions of
outstanding teaching was examined. The results showed that the higher the level of order and
organization, the higher the level of clarity, the higher the level of interest, and the higher the
overall satisfaction.
