By this posture we tell the Lord that we need Him and that we have opened our wholeselves to Him for Him to take over. b) Because from the Word of God we know this posture is pleasing to the Lord. Exodus 17: 8-13 Here we are told that when the hands of Moses were lifted up in prayer, the Israelites were winning the battle against the army of Amalek.
