B. Presentation of the new lesson:

 Have you experienced typhoons in your place?

 What have you observed with the weather before the typhoon hit
your place?

 How about during the typhoon?

 How about after the typhoon?

C. Motivation:
Present pictures showing before, during, and after a typhoon. Let
pupils observe and later infer then tell something about the picture.

After seeing the pictures, can you tell what changes in the weather are before,

C. Activity:
Group the learners into three groups. Give them directions to follow.
Then present experiences by a short speech about the changes in the
weather before, during, and after the typhoon.

Group 1
LM Activity 1. What are the changes in the weather before a
typhoon?

Group 2
LM Activity 2. What are the changes in the weather during a
typhoon?

Group 3
LM Activity 3. What are the changes in the weather after a
typhoon?

 There is the formation of dark clouds.

 Air is colder and dry.

 Reddish clouds at sunrise and sunset.

 DURING A TYPHOON

 Strong winds and heavy rains.

 Big waves in the sea.

 surging of winds in a counterclockwise direction

 AFTER A TYPHOON

 Flooded surroundings.

 Turbulent seas

 Speed of wind decreases

D. Analysis
 What condition of the surroundings do we observe before a typhoon
occurs in a certain place?
 How about during the typhoon?

 How about after the typhoon?

E. Abstraction:
 Observable weather conditions guide us to be prepared and to
prevent the worst scenario that may happen in our lives, we must be
obedient to follow whatever advice given by the proper authority
regarding our weather conditions and follow precautionary measures.

F. Application:
Group activity: With the same group, they will perform the following
activity.
 Group 1. Draw the physical condition of your
surrounding before the typhoon.
 Group 2. Act out a scene during a typhoon.

 Group 3. Compose a 3 to 4 lines song or poem


about the condition of the surrounding after the
typhoon.

V. Assessment:
As observed, identify the weather changes in the following conditions as
to before, during, and after a typhoon. Write B if the conditions happen before a typhoon,
write D if it happens during a typhoon, and write A if it happens after the typhoon.
