03. Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth. 1. Feed the hungry
-Be slow to anger, quick with patience and drop the ego. 2. Give drink to the thirsty
-self control 3. Clothed the naked
-St. Augustine advise us to be meek in the face of the Lord and not resist but to be 4. Shelter the homeless
obedient. St. Paul calls for the obedient of faith in the beginning and end of the letter 5. Comfort the imprisoned
in romance. If we are meek, we will bring one peace in this world and in the next. 6. Visit the sick
04. Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled. 7. Bury the dead
-Help others to take the right path. Trust everyone and know they may let you down.
-justice and righteousness (you live in moral life) in the new covenant indicate the Spiritual works of mercy
fulfillment of God’s will in your heart and soul. It is not mere observant of the law but 1. Admonish sinners

05. Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy. 4. comfort the sorrowful
-Strive to do the right thing. Forgive others first, then yourself. 5. be patient with those in error
-merciful to others… you have compassion and forgiveness to a family members and 6. forgive offenses
neighbors, we bring peace. 7. pray for the living and the dead
Saint James: “For judgement is without mercy to the one who has shown no mercy.”
06. Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.

>Moses, John and Saint Paul all say that no one can see god here on earth but Jesus says
“the pure in heart shall see God.”
-to be free of selfish intention and self-seeking desires
