INFORMANT:
The military person wants to retired and he is in
Yemen at the moment. Does he need to pay for
the leave? *(!) I’m chatting with one person now. I
saw him on videos so he is reall person.**(!) He
knows that some people use his personality for
scam. He says that he knows that because police
contact to him on this case.. I’m comefused. He
needs help to back home.. We talked on
Facebook, WhatsApp and Hangouts.

ADMIN:
*(!) Neither the UN or WHO ask “military” doctors
to pay for leave. Nor involve themselves in
personal matters, and charge money for it. Even
such a matter being mentioned is a 100% scam,
(and neither does the Military.) Also The United
Nations DO NOT have a Vacation Department and
charge fees for insurance and \ights etc. If you
see this you can also be sure it is a scam. Bear in
mind that any email they use would be something
like “xxxxxxx@un.org” and they DO NOT use free
emailers like “@gmail” or “@uno_ces.org”,
“@un-o_ces.org” etc.
**(!) A “webcam” video was shown to our
Informant on the chat.
Scammers will often use an interactive video
based on webcam chats with victims or stolen
from YouTube or from the Internet. This video will
be able to show the scammer doing obvious
actions if they are asked, but not unusual ones
such as touch his nose with both thumbs, pat top
of head, put left anger in right ear etc… Most
often the scammer will know the video well and so
at the right moment be able to tell victim
something such as “Hang on the phone rang” and
he will then be seen leaving to answer the phone.
Often the videos are fairly repetitive and loop
back. Beware of “webcam” that does not look like
the person he claims to be.
